That’s true. I try to be polite as I can be. I was paired with one guy that was really twitchy and nervous with me, and he like... almost had a melt down when talking to me... I felt pretty bad. I thought I was being kind and nice. But after a while I just didn’t have anything to say? I guess? Part of the reason I'm trying to decide whether or not to take Japanese is because of people like who you're describing Yeah, it’s pretty awkward. I think some of the people can be nice, if they took a little break from anime and video games. Don’t get me wrong, I love the animu and vidja to death, but I also try to talk about normal, every day life things. When I try to spark up a conversation about real-life stuff, they look nervous and squirrelly. It’s, uh... yeah.

Also, it depends on the class size. If it’s a bigger class, then I don’t think it’ll be as bad.
