Eyecager/Amber Blade Jones Knights of Guinevere pilot concept art from Bluesky and Twitter.
A lot of this stuff gives me Epic Mickey vibes. That game had killer concept art, too.

Hello, I adore your studies. I was wondering if you had any advice for artists who are trying to practice more on landscapes? Character I can do just fine, but I would really like to start exploring backgrounds.
I think the best mindset advice I've come across was along the lines of "backgrounds are easier when you stop thinking of them as backgrounds". Try to make them an integral part of the story you're telling, rather than an extra chore - it'll be more fun for you!
Movie stills are a good way to practice! Movies and TV have entire teams dedicated to arranging a shot, so if you see something that looks interesting to you, it's worth the time to try to work out for yourself how they accomplished it through study.
Eyecager is a professional background designer for 2D animation that shares a lot of good tips for working on environments. If you have a twitter you should follow them, they do terrific environmental and prop art and periodically post behind the scenes process stuff (a few of their tutorials are collected below):
