Maledictus was walking through the streets of New York, she was hungry and tired with long burn marks going up one side of her face which were healing rather quickly. her long black cloak floated behind her in the wind as she approached a church. She held her breath nervously and rang the doorbell, in Northern Ireland churches had always been hospitable to those lost and needing assistance. 

Ma was yelling at Credence again and Modesty swore she saw a hint of a smile on Chastity’s lips. Why? Why could their sister not see that this wasn’t how a family was supposed to be? A family was supposed to be warm and loving. Chastity once defied Ma as well but Modesty supposed that after so many years Ma finally broke their sister down. Hearing the doorbell, she saw the glare in her mother’s gaze and immediately went to intercept the unfortunate person who found themselves here.

Opening the door, only enough to see the person there, the blonde cleared her throat quietly. “What do you want?”
