"I warned you. As fun as this is going to be for me, I'm not going to make it easy for you."
Actually, that's part of the fun.

@eyeshone: Literal: "Up in the air is not" to figurative: "up in the air."

of course, of course, of fucking course. her own head is still throbbing from the impact—the consequence of trying to be the oh-so-nicest person in the city & grab this guy’s wallet for him. both bent down, both smacked heads, blah blah blah.
the ache in her temples is such that the odd (familiar?) sound of the curse doesn’t even fully register.
“i think you’re in decent company, ow…” she rubs at her forehead. shocked that there’s not blood there. then looks at him. “really, really sorry.”

They're skittering off - that is, until Joey says that. Eddie stops, stock-still. The aim was only to mess with him a little. Now, facing the other direction, Eddie is wearing an expression that might accompany some light skipping in glee, but they hold it in. Put on a neutral face. Turn around.
Arms crossed. Best Dmitri, the Chameleon Guy voice they can muster:
"You were supposed to play along." Pause. Total gamble, but based on Joey's initial reaction: "You act like we have never done this before."
Indignant, angry Elmo voice: FUCK!
#EYESHONE. independent writing account for original and canon characters. movies, television shows, and more. written by jordy.
emma frost!!! lisa cuddy. alana bloom. you write complex, captivating, smart, beguiling women phenomenally well.
Q. WHAT OTHER CHARACTERS COULD YOU SEE ME ROLEPLAYING AS?
jordy coming in hot with the first character i can confidently say i know !!! if i was a comics person easily emma would be the one i would gravitate to (aside from a very oc-ified felicia hardy that i write with @convexing) so this is deeply gratifying. feeling assured in myself. wrt the other two god i need to watch things that aren't bobs burgers because i've never seen hannibal or house but the compliment alone is enough to make me giggle
@eyeshone / Gal from here!
“Absolutely not.”
The cape stiffens against his back, a muscle bracing. Clearly indignant— though it would undoubtedly accept any role as puppeteer over puppet.
“If anything, I’m the chef rat here,” to which, Cloak finds offense, fluttering angrily. “Hey— don’t take it personally—”
@eyeshone
"Oh."
"This is Joey."
"...Watchin' the news with Joey, huh?"
"...Mhm."
