This dog just kinda fascinates me. #kipper #creepydog #eyestuff https://www.instagram.com/p/Bm6c3LsB-u1/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=mkhpcweayd56
Yesterday I visited my optometrists in Helsinki and it was nice. I had my stitches removed from my surgery (which wen’t pretty smoothly sicne there weren’t that many of them). And I got new meds! Something for eye pressure and a short antibiotics treatment.
But funny thing, as I was sitting in the waiting room, I heard a couple of people talking. And the other one mentioned how they’re having their epithelium scraped, and was worried since the doctor told them that the eye will really hurt for a few days afterwards.
Which, okay, maybe for most people. But I almost burst into laughter, since when I’ve had my epitheliums scraped (this has happened twice), it was nothing. Like.. sure, my eye was mildly irritated for like a few hours afterwards, but eh? I guess that with all the stuff my eyes have gone through, a little bit of scraping is nothing after that.
I have to work at 2
And my left eye will not stop hurting. I have no idea why it does, but it's extremely irritating. I think I might have scratched it with my nail on accident when I took my contacts out last night but I don't know. I might wear my really old outdated glasses to work today. I look like a disgruntled librarian with them on (but that's ok I guess since my shift today is the upstairs helpdesk in the library), but it would probably be a good idea to rest my eyes and not touch them if I don't have to. I hope that's all it is ;o;
Speaking of work, I signed up for the closing shift today! Closers have to do a Remote Run, which is essentially a lab check, except for the entire campus, so I have 45 minutes to check all these labs and printers around the whole college and I still don't really know where everything is. (In my defense, my courses are all exclusively in the Creative Arts building) But yeah. My coworker took me on the opening RR yesterday morning, and she said just look at the list and go where it says and it's basically the same thing and not too hard. Also also, my chips and chili dogs came out great! I know chili dogs aren't an amazingly difficult to make food, but the chips were a bit trickier - I set the smoke alarm off twice making those babies, oh man whydotheyneedtobakeatsuchahightemp? Gosh, they're so crunchy and tasty~ I might bring the leftovers to work so I don't starve to death during my shift alkdfsj. I'm just proud I made decently tasting edible food. :'D Also also also, most all of the apartment is cleaned up since I got in the zone and did it all last night. I was a bit disappointed I didn't get any help, but I guess it's whatever really, since I do like to do my own thing most of the time anyway, and he's cooked a few times this week. And I like things to be rather clean I've discovered - not a fan of plates and clothes laying around, especially since we've had gnats andjustgross.
I still have a MOUNTAIN of homework to do, though. :X Gotta work on my sculpture a bit (which will have to be done in the art studio because not transporting it), my 2-D coloraid (I HATE COLORAID IT IS SO HORRIBLE) projects, do some sketches for Drawing class, and study up on Mosques for my group project in Art History. I mean I guess I can do the drawing and history things a little while at work if we are slow (we usually are in the IC shift) but still, I wish I had more free time than I've had lately. :|
