no offense but im watching eye witness and why does everything I ship end up in fist fights is it my fucked up mentality I CANNOT DEAL WITH ANGST AND ALL OF MY SHIPS ARE SO DAMN ANGSTY PROTECT ME

i was just thinking this morning about how different christmas is going to be for philip living with gabe and helen. because with his mother, christmas didn’t mean the same thing, it didn’t mean presents and this overfill of things, it meant holding each other as snow fell outside their apartment and instead of money being spent for presents, it was going to bills and food and the other prices of living with an addict, his mother loved him, but for philip, christmas has always been just another day to survive - nothing like the movies he had seen

but then there’s gabe and helen, who would want to spoil philip with their kind of love and gifts anyway, but especially on a holiday (gabe is the ultimate dad ever i also feel like he’s the best gift giver and hugger) and philip’s first responses are going to be “you’ve done enough for me as it is” and “i don’t want anything” and they’re not going to want to push him but it’s christmas

and then philip would want to get the people in his life something, but he’s not going to ask for money from gabe and helen to buy gifts for them, and his mom, and oh god, he has a boyfriend now, so now philip, who has never really had to think out gifts before has to figure out a way to get four gifts that show the four people in his life how much he cares about them because that’s what tv has always told him chrismas was 

so maybe he gets a job, or helps out with extra chores and things to get an allowance, i’m also kind of laughing at the idea of how cute he’d be working in one of the cute little town shops that fill Trivoli 

and i’m going to aim for gabe and helen buying philip his own camera, because...they really want one for philip to continue his photography interest that wasn’t owned by a murdered kid, just to finally help put all this sadness and awfulness behind them finally
