“Keep your concentration here and now, where it belongs.”
Jun’Oala stomped her foot in frustration as her bubble shield disintegrated.
Master Eyssa smiled kindly. “It’s okay. Keep your concentration here and now, where it belongs.””
“No one on a battlefield is gonna try and break a force shield. They’re gonna be too busy trying to do real damage.” She crossed her arms, staring anywhere but at her master’s patient expression. It was infuriating that she could never get a rise out of her.
“What about a Sith?”
“I’ll be fighting them. I can’t fight through a shield.”
Master Eyssa’s response didn’t come.
Jun’Oala risked a look up.
She looked thoughtful. “How about I show you why shields are important, instead of just telling you? Would that help you understand?”
“No,” Jun’Oala lied sullenly. “I wanna go back to Mr. Tharan’s office. Miss Holliday said she knew a good ice cream spot.”
Master Eyssa ignored her. “I’ll find a way to show you why shields are important…”
The Morguki towered over her, wreathed in flames and gripping a vibrosword as thick as her thigh.
Jun’Oala knew better than to scream. He’d find where she was supped to watching her master.
Master Eyssa was calm as she stared up.
The Morguki charged, vibrosword whipping around him. He brought it down on Master Eyssa- why hadn’t she drawn her lightsaber- and she didn’t move out of the way.
Jun’Oala squeezed her eyes shut.
Nothing.
No screaming. No horrific squelching sounds. Nothing.
She cracked open an eye.
Master Eyssa looked carved from stone. Around her glimmered a shield, bright and burning with energy.
The Morguki’s vibrosword was stuck in the shield.
And then he went flying backwards with a flick of her hand.
His head smacked against the wall and he slid down, unconscious.
Master Eyssa waved Jun’Oala over. “Do you see now?”
“That was so cool, Master! You- You just- I wanna do that!”
“Then you must suffer through those training exercises, June.”
“I… fine.” She looked over at the Morguki. “What ‘bout him?”
“I assume anyone else down on this level will relieve him of his armor and weapons. We’re not going to remain and find out.”
I drew some quick sketches of fluff of some of my swtor couples
