I’m pretty sure Ezcatli dislikes Vaila. Or at the very least, feels bitter towards her. He used to be the third strongest fighter after Medulynd and Maryuu, but Vaila came into the clan already stronger than he was. Now she has taken his spot in the Coliseum Scouting Team, advancing two levels ahead of him already in just the few days she has been here.
The first ones in the clan to reach Level 10 should have been him, Medulynd and Maryuu -- the first three dragons of the clan. That achievement should have been with him. Not with this newcomer. Not with this usurper. Not with her.
Though he takes pride in their clan’s openness to all who wish to stay, he found himself hoping Vaila’s stay ends with the Brightshine Jubilee.
