since riot is never gonna clarify, i personally think ezreal and jayce were a situationship in college, then ez found out his parents had gone missing in the desert and he basically disappeared from piltover (and jayce's life) overnight.

but like, au where he comes back in the middle of the events of arcane, sees jayce stuck in the angst polycule from hell with viktor and mel, and just. grimaces, pushes his sunglasses up. yikes. never expected jayce to be the messy one between the two of them.

my favorite ezjayce fanfic is psyops/resistance and like. it's super good because i love ezreal trying and succeeding to climb that traumatized old man like a tree. the characterization really cemented my love for ezjayce forever. like damn the impact.

HOWEVER, author-nim didn't indulge in any weird psychic shit which i feel is such a waste of the potential of the psyops universe. all psyops fic should include weird invasive mindfuck sequences. let ez stick his tongue in jayce's grey matter and make him cum from across the room. let him blast his nudes into jayce's brain in the middle of meetings whenever he gets bored and decides he wants to fuck. he's a powerful untrained psychic with a massive ego and he's also an extremely horny 20 yr old. it's such a lethal combo and it's so good.
