4. have you ever recommended a book that ruined someone else’s life? what was it?

i don’t think so? i remember in like first grade i recommended my friend this chapter book that mentioned finding out santa isn’t real or s/t and she was like WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE’S NOT REAL so idk I guess that was pretty earth-shattering at the time

5. which book had the greatest impact on your life?

probably the bible lmao since i was raised as a christian and went to this super-conservative christian school for like 10 years and it took a lot of unlearning to fix the kind of stuff i was indoctrinated into there. but in terms of novels probably extremely loud and incredibly close by jonathan safran foer or never let me go by kazuo ishiguro

7. what questions would you ask your favorite author given the chance?

probably stuff about their writing technique or how they get their ideas also maybe some questions about their life?? i don’t really know who my favorite author is so this question is hard 

21. what are your top 3 books of 2014?

me before you by jojo moyes, interpreter of maladies by jhumpa lahiri, eleanor and park by rainbow rowell (not all of those were published in 2014 but i read them during the year!)
