Making my darling sunshine child One Of Us delights me to an unreasonable degree.
I’m thinking she’s the type that doesn’t actually register her dysphoria until she experiences pure, undiluted gender euphoria the first time she transforms (and then freaks the fuck out).
Also, I feel like her loss of inhibitions as Chat would translate more into trying to act like the girliest girl she can think of, rather than Fabio-ing at Ladybug. Like, she still falls in love with Ladybug, but she’s too distracted by the gender thing to start flirting right away -- and by the time she’s done dealing with that, they settled into a dynamic and she’s terrified of messing it up. Plus she has to deal with the gay thing on top of the trans thing.
Marinette, of course, still falls for her boymode self, but thanks to the convenience of this being my damn AU, she happens to be the bi-est bisexual ever to bi through Bi-landia.
I have all sorts of little scene ideas for this AU, full of Adrinette blushy friendship, ladynoir complicity with added pining. IDK whether to try to turn it into a fic, or a series of fancomic vignettes, or what.
I’ve never tried doing a comic before! It’s really fun! I really need to work on more expressive/dynamic poses anyway it’s good practice.
(also she’s still called Chat Noir. Reason being: the lack of gender agreement in Chat Noire makes me eyetwitch because I’m anal retentive about grammar like that, Chatte Noire is awkward for the reasons a superhero calling herself “Black Pussy” would be, Chatonne is just undignified, and the generic, cat-as-in-the-species word is the masculine anyway; eg I refer to my female cat as “le chat” all the time. And I don’t want to change it completely to something like Feline or a name in English.🤷♀️)
