Recommended Reading #012: Saints Behaving Badly

Again, this might be a point where I should recuse myself, but I won’t. I’ve enjoyed Lore’s writing since before I started Betaing for her. And this piece really captures the wonderful strangeness, chaos, humor, and darkness of the Saints Row series. 

This follows the storyline of the first game of the series with some great twists and turns. She really has a great bead on writing Johnny’s snappy, smart ass dialogue. Angelique is a complicated character who, through the writing, the reader (or at least me) comes to care about and fear for. She’s a very unique take on the boss (and we all know bosses are like crooked little snowflakes); her quirks and traits really make her stand out.

Saints Behaving Badly is a long series 50 chapters planned, and at the time of writing this, it was almost complete. She’s got a great mix of mayhem, darkness, fun, romance, and a healthy dose of smut to round out this WIP.
