I’m being so fr I love you and your work but every time I come back to the blog I have to ask myself whether or not I’ve developed amnesia 😭 do you have any Alfonse tucked away somewhere in the crevices of the internet?
(I have one very sweet little drabble-y thing just for you!! U V U )
The night was still young, and Alfonse was restless. Everyone had already eaten, and those who had spare time outside of chores, patrols and meetings, they were making merry and enjoying themselves.
Everyone seemed to be accounted for, except for arguably the most important individual in Alfonse’s eyes; Kiran.
Sharena didn’t seem to know where you’d gone, nor did Anna. Most of the summoned heroes weren’t certain where you’d gotten off to, until he asked one of the more observant ones.
Klein had seen you heading toward the armory by yourself just a little while ago. You seemed fine, he added when Alfonse looked confused (and obviously worried).
“What on earth does she want in there?” He wondered aloud, making a beeline for the armory. It’s not like you wielded any of the weapons, at least not well enough to use. He’d been teaching you the way of the sword, but there was no way he was going to let you bring that onto the battlefield until he was satisfied with your skills.
Maybe you were reviewing the stock on your own, as diligently as usual. Alfonse’s speculation came to a swift conclusion, though, when he passed through the tent flaps.
You were in the armory, yes; dead asleep and leaning against a polearm from where you sat precariously on a bench.
“Kiran?” His face blanched, the prince quickly coming to your side. Carefully he put his fingers to your neck; your pulse was fine, and you didn’t appear to be in pain. You just looked tired, really.
His brow furrowed when he realized you had dark bags under your eyes, and lines drawn likely caused by the stress of the job.
“What have you been doing to yourself?” He muttered while he got to work extricating you from the tent. He expertly pulled the polearm away, leaning you back against the weapons rack behind you so as not to wake you.
The spear quietly clacked back into place, and he returned to your side. It would be better to let you sleep.
Alfonse gently raised you into his arms, holding you to his chest and making sure your head was resting against him rather than lolling about.
Making sure you weren’t jostled or stirring, he started out of the tent.
It was tactfully ignored when heroes started whispering about what they saw; what was the prince doing with the summoner?
Why was she asleep?
Were they sweet on each other- and were they really being so blatant about it?
His focus was making sure you got some proper rest for the first time in what appeared to be ages.
“Please excuse me,” He murmured into your hair, as he brought you back to your tent.
The cot was practically untouched; had you even slept in it that morning?
Alfonse didn’t glance around long. He slowly knelt beside the bedroll, settling you onto the blankets.
With great care, he cupped your head, making sure not to let you bounce by accident when he moved his arms out from under you.
Then came the work on your boots.
Mindful of his own armor and clanking bits, Alfonse was expert in reducing his own noise while he got to work undoing your belts and buckles that surely weren’t comfortable to sleep in.
He managed to pull the first one off before he realized his efforts were in vain.
“Alfonse…?”
“Kiran!” He squeaked when you spoke, finding you staring down at him with bleary eyes.
Blushing, he pulled back, one boot still on and the other sock exposed.
“Forgive me, I just…I found you asleep in the armory and wanted you to be more comfortable in your tent. I brought you back and wanted to at least take some of your armor off while you rested.”
“Thanks.” You rubbed at your eyes, “I didn’t even realize I’d fallen asleep at all…guess I’ve been working harder than usual.”
“You’ve always worked hard,” Alfonse countered, recovering himself so he could continue his efforts. You watched with a lazy smile as he continued to undo your other boot, “I think it’s just the steady flow of hard work finally sapped the last of your strength, and this was the result.”
“You think so?”
He nodded quietly while he set the footwear neatly to the side, before returning to your side. You reached for his hand and he gladly took it, giving your fingers a gentle squeeze from his seat beside the bedroll.
"Would you like to spend the night with me, then?”
“Uhh…”
“Just to sleep,” You added in quickly, realizing the blush on his cheeks wasn’t because of a polite invitation. “I mean, it’s not like you don’t work hard, too…I thought it might be a good chance for both of us to get some good sleep.”
“If you don’t mind having me here.” Alfonse said softly, “I’m happy to stay until you fall asleep, if you’d rather I not stay all night.”
“I’d have you here every night if I could.”
The prince’s heart skipped a beat, and enthusiastically agreed to join you to bed.
He undid his own armor and belts, left in his tunic, trousers and socks.
His headpiece was carefully placed on your desk before he crawled under the blankets with you.
Your arms were open to receive him, and Alfonse was happily wrapped up in a sleepy embrace by his loved one.
You nestled your head into his hair, feeling far more relaxed with the handsome, sweet prince snuggled up with you.
“Goodnight, Alfonse…thanks for looking out for me.”
“Always.” He smiled against your skin, a chaste kiss along your collarbone. “Sleep well, Kiran.”
Alfonse and Kiran celebrate the new year in their own way.
HEADS UP Y’ALL: THERE IS NSFVV CONTENT AHEAD. PLEASE ONLY READ IF YOU ARE 18 OR OLDER.
Out with the old, in with the new. Such a cliche expression, yet one that would ring true in just minutes. Many heroes gathered near to watch the clock as it inched closer to saying midnight, not just for the new day, but for the new year. Anticipation for the fresh start was all around, and the excitement proved to be rather contagious amongst those celebrating within the Order of Heroes.
Well, most of them were present for this occasion at the moment.
“Oh, where are they?!” The impatient princess of Askr grumbled. “They’re going to miss it!”
“If they do, that’s their own fault. Not yours, Sharena.” Her commander and partner replied when approaching her.
She was right, and Sharena knew this. However, it did little to quell her frustration with the fact that her brother and the summoner had suddenly disappeared right before the new year was set to arrive. She had hoped to have them both there with her when the time came, and it was starting to seem unlikely that it would be the case.
“Will some of my mochi make you feel better?” Anna offered, holding out the concoction to her.
The princess accepted the treat, but only took small bites of it. After all, she would have hated to still be chewing on a piece of it when she received her kiss from Anna at midnight. But the sweet taste did seem to put her in a better mood, so it served its purpose. Still, even if it wasn’t stressing her out as much, she was still curious as to what their whereabouts were precisely.
“Do you think they’ll make it back in time?” The princess asked her girlfriend.
“If they don’t, then it won’t be the end of the world.” The redhead assured her, wrapping her into an embrace from behind and resting her chin on the top of her head. “After all, it's possible that they could be celebrating in their own way.”
~~~~~
Elsewhere, the prince and his summoner in question seemed to have no intention of appearing in public any time soon. The couple exchanged heated kisses, warm hands traveling all over each other’s bodies as swollen lips and wet tongues collided together. Alfonse had Kiran pinned against the wall behind her, and she had little intention of taking her hands off of him. However, she broke the kiss briefly in order to catch her breath... and attempt to entice him.
“Hey babe…” She panted. “You know what I like about these kimonos?”
“Hm? What would that be?” Alfonse asked her in response.
The smirk on her flushed face that followed was one that he was all too familiar with. She had something up her sleeve, and he was eager to find out what that was. After all, one of his favorite things about her was her ability to constantly keep him on his toes. He watched intently as she fumbled with the front of her robes, his eyes widening as she revealed her answer to him.
“With how loose they are, you can wear nothing underneath and get away with it.”
The prince stared in awe at the sight before him. His beloved opened the multiple parts of her kimono to show that she, in fact, was fully naked under them. He could feel the hot blood rushing up towards his face, as well as down towards his cock, which was now straining against his own robes. To engage in something so lascivious would be very risky for the couple, given that the festival was occurring just outside of where they were. What would happen if someone were to walk by and see them in a way that they were only meant to see each other?
However, these factors served to make it feel more thrilling, which only heightened both of their arousal.
“We have to be quick.” Alfonse told her. “It’s almost midnight.”
“That makes it all the more fun.” She salaciously replied.
Kiran reached for her boyfriend’s garments, swiftly pulling them open to expose his front. Those abs he gained through all of his work with training made her ache with desire for him, as well as seeing how hard he was for her upon freeing his thick erection. The two opted to have their robes opened but kept on for this, as it would be easier for them to cover themselves should someone walk by.
Alfonse quickly went to kiss her neck, his soft lips and hot tongue on her skin making her gasp. He always started off so careful with her when it came to intimacy, and she loved how considerate he was of her and her pleasure. His hands found her large breasts, kneading at the soft flesh and running his thumbs over her rosy nipples. This drew out more lustful noises from the summoner as she clung to him, her hand grabbing a fistful of his dark blue hair.
She hummed in delight as he slid one hand down her body, his fingers grazing her wet folds as he slipped two of them inside her. The prince curled the tips of his digits to reach for the spots that left her a mess before him as he worked them in and out of her. In the midst of her euphoric haze, she wrapped her warm hand around his throbbing length, gathering some pre-cum from the tip with her palm. Alfonse was left just as breathless as her with every slow stroke, moving his free hand onto the wall in order to steady himself, with Kiran doing the same by grabbing his shoulder.
“As are… as are you, m… my love…” Her prince panted in response.
The violet-tipped brunette trembled as Alfonse thrusted his fingers at a quicker pace, his palm occasionally brushing against her nub. The sensations running through her made her tighten her grip on his now slick cock as her fervent pumps picked up in speed as well. Certainly the couple would have no trouble sleeping upon returning to their quarters; assuming they had the intention of doing so.
“I think I’m ready…” The summoner breathed.
With those words, she retracted her hand from him as he pulled his fingers out of her. She lifted her leg in order to give him enough room, and he moved a hand to keep it in place. Alfonse positioned himself so his tip brushed her dripping lower lips, the teasing nature of it making them both shiver before they even went any further. He gently pressed his forehead against hers, smiling as she brought her hands up to rest on his face, her soft thumbs stroking his cheeks.
“I love you… more than anything in not just this world… but any world.” He whispered tenderly.
“Alfonse… I love you, too.” Kiran warmly replied.
The two shared a gentle yet passionate kiss, which soon turned into them moaning into each other’s mouths as the prince’s throbbing member slipped into her slick heat. With little time to waste, Alfonse’s thrusts were quick and strong, his hands tightening around her body. Kiran threw her arms over his shoulders, clinging to him and repeatedly calling out his name as though it was the only word she knew. His hot breath on her neck served to make her even more wet as her walls clamped around his length, the couple becoming dizzy from the pleasure.
What sounded like cheers could be heard from outside. They weren’t entirely sure how much time they had until it was midnight, or if it had already passed, and at this point, they cared little for it. All that mattered to them was each other. All they needed was each other. To spend the last few moments of the old year, as well as the first few of the new one, intertwined together was truly something special to the both of them.
“Kiran… love…” The blue haired prince moaned into his girlfriend’s ear, sending chills down her spine.
Before she could respond, she felt him brush against a particular spot in her that made her quiver from the intense gratification. She tightened her arms around him as her voice grew louder in ecstasy.
“Alfonse, there…!” She gasped.
He quickly obliged, pinning both her legs against the wall behind her and slamming into her with a fervor he forgot he even had. His body clung to hers as his lips crashed against her own, the delectable sounds they both made being muffled by the kiss. There was so much overwhelming pleasure coming from many sources, that they could both feel themselves inching closer towards their rapturous peaks.
Kiran soon wrapped her trembling legs around Alfonse’s waist, allowing him to slide a hand down between the two of them. She tightened around him when she felt his thumb press against her throbbing clit, her fingers digging into the fabric of his robe as he rubbed it at a pace matching his thrusts. He could feel her hot core twitching against his cock, and her breathless whines tickled his ear. The pressure built up in her veins and and left her desperate for her release. Once it came to her, her mind went blank as she cried out her love’s name, the hot electricity coursing through her body and making her shake in ways only he was capable of making her do so.
The prince was not too far behind, continuing to slam into her with vigor. Kiran moved to plant a soft kiss at his jaw, sliding a warm hand down his chest. From there, it was all over for him. A sharp gasp shot from his lips as his length twitched against her core and his hot seed spilled into her. He knew she was taking herbs and that she would get spells from the healers as an extra precaution, so he wasn’t worried about anything coming of this.
As soon as he pulled out of her, he wrapped his arms around her shaking torso. She rested her head on his shoulder as she returned his embrace, stroking his back with her thumb. More cheers erupted from outside, catching their attention as they stared at the wall between them and the festival.
“We missed the transition into the new year, didn’t we?” Alfonse quietly chuckled.
“Who gives a shit?” Kiran asked him.
She picked her head up, staring into his ocean blue eyes before closing her brown ones. She stood on her toes to reach up and capture his lips with her own. This kiss was a much more gentle one, as they were both rather spent from everything just moments before. Upon pulling away, Kiran sank back into her boyfriend’s arms.
“We celebrated with each other. That’s all I could ask for.” She gushed with a smile on her face.
“Agreed.” Alfonse replied. “We will go back out and join everyone else when we’re ready. For now, let’s just enjoy this time together.”
So instead of finishing base colors on a work, I instead procrastinated by writing. It’s based off an idea for a sketch that I opted to ignore since I couldn’t get myself to draw it. Just a warning, I do go over a bit of battleground violence so keep that in mind. Well, that and how my writing can be stiff at times. It’s why I prefer drawing. The rest is under the cut.
The Order of Heroes grew drastically in size and power ever since Anna summoned Kiran. With the ability to not only bring heroes from different outrealms, but also revive them from death’s door after every battle, Kiran swiftly became the strong cornerstone of the Order. Since visiting the eternal sanctum and later performing the rite of blades alongside Askr’s royals and commander Anna, the summoner’s abilities in strengthening heroes expanded ever further. Unfortunately, as Kiran also took on the mantle of lead tactician on the battlefield, the question of her being attacked shifted from an ‘if’ to a ‘when.’ With these heavy tasks resigned only to the wielder of the Breidablik, it wouldn’t be strange for any Emblian soldier worth their salt to try and target Kiran.
Prince Alfonse, ever the stalwart heir to Askr’s throne, took it upon himself early on to ensure Kiran appointed bodyguards whenever she took to the battlefield. However, everyone who initially held the position soon gave way to Alfonse himself. Much as he refused to admit, his own heart’s defenses unraveled themselves in curiosity to Kiran’s odd habits. Carving out odd paths in the castle to shorten time, bargaining with Anna to obtain odd spices for her own meals after refusing to show up in the mess hall, climbing the castle walls ‘to find hidden nooks and crannies’ much to his chagrin, cleaning the stables as an excuse to coo over the wyvern mounts, and even sneaking out with Shanna on her pegasus just to give him, Sharena, and Anna, and the other heroes a few gifts from town. She did stress him from her brazen recklessness, but every time he and the rest of the Askr trio sat down to a talk over her home-cooked pastries and drinks, he found himself relaxing.
Ease around his new tactician, especially formed in the castle’s library where she’d take to reading on a high window nook, took on the beginnings of affection. A soft brush between hands while they refined battlefield tactics over a crowded table would cause his heart to stutter. Sharing a warm drink whenever he found her suffering from insomnia late at night always led to small talk where her friendly tone would coax a rosy blush on his face. In turn, he saw her interest through her insistence that he could blather all about Askr’s history to her; unlike his sister, Kiran would hang off his every word. She returned the favor with stories from her world. Not everything made complete sense, but her dramatic flairs in storytelling helped to brighten his day. “A symphony of mistakes by people considered unimportant at the time – funny, how that can topple empires,” she would often say.
Her occasional gifts once included a book on Askran mythology, where she asked if he would enjoy reading it with her at night whenever they had time. It left him a little speechless, but he enjoyed their time together. However, with how comfortable she became with him, Alfonse found himself growing flustered around her. Sharing a room with her, no thanks to the commander’s antics, became suffocating to him. Yet he endured; getting too close any hero, including Kiran, would only open himself to the same pain he felt at Zacharias’ disappearance.
He found it funny, that his fear would lead him to open up to her completely.
It was supposed to be a small skirmish. Kiran was trying out a new form of surveying the battlefield: from the back of a flier.
Alfonse rounded on the summoner, straightening out the cuffs of his gloves out of habit. “Be careful, Kiran.”
“You don’t have to remind me, my prince. It’s always a given whenever we’re fighting.”
“Still-”
Kiran pointed behind her, where the imposing figure of a golden-scaled dragon turned its serpentine eyes on him.
“Don’t worry, Myrrh’s more than capable of handling anyone who tries going after me. Right, Myrrh?”
Myrrh let out a hardy breath of smoke. In her draconic form, her voice gained a deep rumbled undertone.
“We’ll be fine. My dragon form will see to that.”
“See? Heh, it’ll be easy to see any threats from the air. I’ve been practicing with Shanna and Cherche for months, so I know how to stay on. You have nothing to fear. I promise. Anyway, you know the plan. Good luck to you, Alfonse.”
Alfonse hesitated. Myrrh had shown her offensive and defensive power in the training tower. She could keep Kiran safe so long as she stayed away from archers. Kiran too appeared confident in her decision; most of her commands had kept them alive and well. He reluctantly conceded, placing a hand on Kiran’s shoulder, squeezing it lightly.
“...Take care, Kiran.”
She nodded, returning the gesture in a soft hug before running off to jump on Myrrh’s back as the rest of the team arranged into formation. Fjorm swiftly struck the enemy mages with Leptir, allowing Alfonse to take care of the melee units in front. All as planned, Kiran thought as she scanned the landscape on the back of Myrrh’s scaled back. Spotting a lance armor at the edge of a forest, Kiran nudged Myrrh’s ridge.
“Let’s swoop in and take that knight out before they get to Alfonse, shall we?”
Sweeping in an arc, Myrrh circled into range, letting out a powerful pulse of fire onto the now panicked foe as she descended from the air. In their eagerness, neither she nor Kiran had bothered to glance into the glade nearby.
One glint of steel sailed through the air, and Kiran let out a pained shriek of surprise. Myrrh, already halfway into an ascending arc, could only listen in horror.
Askr’s summoner fell off, unable to grip Myrrh’s ridged scales from the shock. An arrow protruded from her side, easily lodged in her flesh from the lack of armor she wore.
Alfonse glanced once her way, feeling ice seep into his veins. Desperation ripped out of his throat.
“KIRAN!”
His legs started moving on their own, in the direction where Kiran fell. Another glint of steel came his way, but Alfonse raised his shield to block it. One moment later, and the body of an archer met the ground with a heavy strike of Folkvanger. Right as the sickening crunch of another body kissing the earth roughly rung through the air.
Myrrh had been too late to catch her, and so had Alfonse.
Reverting to her usual form, Myrrh started to wail. Fjorm came over after finishing the rest of the enemy soldiers. She blanched. Alfonse mechanically walked over to where Kiran lay haphazardly on her side. His heart slowly, painfully throbbing, he gingerly took her into his arms.
“K...Kiran?”
He shook her paling shoulders.
“Please, Kiran.”
He shook her roughly, trembling.
She didn’t even flinch.
“You promised you wouldn’t leave me. Not without…
N-not without...” The prince felt his voice constrict in his throat.
The smell of iron started to permeate in the air. It only sunk into him then how his golden-scale armor had freshly-smeared blood. Blood with a reddish tone matching the ever-growing stain on his tactician’s clothes.
No
Why was she starting to grow cold? She’d never let herself become this cold!
Her form blurred; he found it hard to breathe at the sight. But he couldn’t help to stymie his own tears. Myrrh’s wailing, Fjorm’s soft sobbing, the sound of the wind taunting him: it all slowly muted as his mind retreated into himself. Kiran had left him.
Somehow, someway, he had lost another dear to him.
Alfonse gasped for air, no longer caring about his surroundings as he squeezed his eyes shut. But darkness morphed itself into the blur of a room.
Barely squinting, his eyes wretched themselves open – only to meet the darkened stone ceiling of a castle.
He was back in his quarters.
The same room that he shared with Kiran.
Heart still fluttering desperately, with tears still flowing down his cheeks, he flung himself from his bed. Moments later his body reminded him of the time, and of his eagerness. Thankfully a bedpost made for a good anchor.
“Kiran.” His voice gained a soft, scratchy tone from the trauma.
Scanning the room, his eyes fell on a figure on their side, apparently still under the moonlight.
The smell of iron faintly returned. Fear once again pierced daggers into his already panicked heart, causing him to move. Stumbling at first, he wretched himself over to shake the body with quivering hands.
“Kiran!”
He felt her flinch under his grip, and his reward was a soft slap of a warm hand to his own. His eyes grew blearly again as his throat tightened in response.
“Nnngh…?”
Kiran, still deeply entrenched in sleep, stiffened into a long stretch, pushing her arms against her bed in an attempt to raise herself. She blinked slowly at the prince’s disheveled form. Palpable silence reigned between them, as Kiran tried to rouse herself further, if just to rid herself of her hazed confusion at the sight.
She hardly noticed herself being crushed bracingly against Alfonse’s torso.
“...eh?...” It had to take the prince’s own heartbeat to fully rouse her from her sleep. It then became her turn to panic.
“A-Alfonse?! W-what’s going on, here?”
She felt his head rest on hers, before feeling a slight wetness strike her back. Her answer came in a soft whimper.
“I’m sorry.”
Hesitating for a few moments, Kiran moved to circle her hands around him, embracing him in turn. Rubbing gentle circles on his back, she stayed with him in silence, allowing him to calm from his small fit of tears.
Neither could say how long they stayed together like this.
“Kiran?” Alfonse’s voice still retained a slight shake in tone.
“Hmm?”
“Could you...perhaps allow me to join you whenever you’re training any of the fliers?”
“What’s this about, Alfonse?”
“I...I can’t bear the thought of you falling.”
“We have backup fliers for tha- ...oh.”
Alfonse broke their embrace to look at her pointedly.
“Nightmare?” He winced. Right on target.
“Well, guess I’ll just have to remind you how alive I am now.”
Kiran pulled him onto her bed with her, the prince stuttering in a fluster. Taking his hand, she placed it on a pulsepoint on her neck, before dropping it in favor of curling around him. It was the same exact position both had grew accustomed to over time whenever they decided to read about Askran mythology. At first stiff and blush, Alfonse slowly relaxed as he recognized the arrangement.
“Kiran?”
She looked to the windows, where the moonlight poured in.
“I’ll admit, when I first came to Askr, I wanted to bolt from the Order. I knew no one. Tasks were thrust upon me without my agreement.”
She chuckled, remembering how the prince met her after her botched escape attempt from Anna.
“I nearly ran off too before Anna dragged me to meet you. But if you’d ask me if I’d leave now, you’d get a resounding no,” She turned back to him. “Alfonse, you know why I’ve changed my mind?”
“You’ve become fond of the heroes we’ve trained with? Hopefully my sister too?”
Kiran slapped one hand to her forehand and snickered.
“Well, that may be part of it, but-”
He felt her hands grip his.
“It’s you, Alfonse. You’ve kept me going all this time. And for that, I’d never squander my life as recklessly as I once did. If anyone tells you I’ve left abruptly, they’re lying. I did promise you that one time, and I prefer to keep my promises.”
Finding the Askran prince speechless, Kiran smiled in assurance, slightly nervous over her confession. Nighttime made it infuriatingly easy for her to spill secrets, and even if it felt right to tell him, she still had a part of her growling over such actions. But in the depths of the night, those growls grew faint enough to ignore. And so she found it easier to express her fondness.
For Alfonse, that meant the soft press of her lips against his hand. Kiran quickly took to glancing away, reddened from embarrassment.
“S-so-you-have-nothing-to-worry-over-my-prince.”
Alfonse couldn’t help but smile at her cute display.
“Kiran?”
She kept glancing every which way but him.
“Uh, let’s see, it’s – oh. Yes?”
She looked slightly above him, still red and skittish.
“Could you meet me at the left tower top this evening?”
Kiran froze. Alfonse was usually too busy in his training or royal duties to bother with the high towers; they were usually reserved for the night patrols and flier teams to regroup or scout out possible weak points. She and Shanna, later Myrrh too, had taken to using it as a meeting place to sneak away into nearby towns. All of them had been chewed out thoroughly by both Anna and Alfonse once they were exposed. But it still made for a great spot to view the transition of the hours, from the sunrise to the stars. Trying to mentally rationalize why he would ask that only made Kiran’s mind blur into a flurry of anxious thoughts. Good, anxious thoughts, somehow.
“I...I’d love to.”
Alfonse beamed at her, relieved.
“Thank you, Kiran.”
“Well, we should probably go back to bed. After all, it’s only-”
She looked out again. No stars left and a reddish horizon line.
Hi everyone! So this is my English short story project that I'd done! This takes place after chapter 10, that's what the first half of the story is about. XD
Also, I didn't use my regular team, I just used the generic team (Alfonse, Sharena, Anna and Virion, but Virion is barely mentioned) because it would make more sense for my teacher. Also, for generic purposes, Kiran’s hair is black. XD
Anyways after I upload this I’m gonna upload the version that has my Summoner, Ayla in it. X3
Edit: here’s a link to the Ayla version: https://gamergirl8989.tumblr.com/post/167851174187/promises-ayla-x-alfonse-version-alright-so
Sorry for the longish Author's note, enjoy the story!
Kiran watches as her Heroes get struck down by the Radiant Hero Ike, biting her lip. Virion had gone down due to Ike having distant counter, Anna got beaten earlier by Mist and Soren, and Sharena had gone down because she was closest to Ike, but she was able to do a great deal of damage before being defeated. The only Hero she had left on the field was Alfonse, and Ike was the only enemy left on the field. Alfonse was down to 5 health, but Ike was down to 3. "You got this Alfonse! You can beat him!" The black haired Summoner shouts to the blue haired prince. The prince smiles a bit, running at Ike and dealing the final blow. Afterwards, both the Heroes and enemies came back to life. "We lost. But I have no regrets. You have showed us your strength. We're not enemies. Someday, somewhere... We might just meet again. I look forward to it." Ike says.
"We did it! Our homeland is saved. It's time to head back!" Anna declares with a smile. "Ugh, I'm so tired..." Sharena complains. Kiran couldn't help but chuckle a bit, looking around and getting a bit distracted. "Alright, Kiran, let's get-" Anna starts, but was soon cut off by a loud sound. "What was that?" the red haired commander asks, confused. This made the black haired Summoner look back over at the group. "No!" Alfonse starts. "The gateway, it's closing..." he says, as the group starts running. Unfortunately, Kiran wasn't a fast runner like the others, so she had some trouble keeping up. "Kiran, hurry! This way!" she could hear Alfonse shout, but as she leaped to go through the portal, it closed. "No!" Kiran shouts, falling to the ground, but quickly getting up and looking around frantically.
"Hello, Summoner. This time, it's just you and me." A girl's voice could be heard. 'No. Not Veronica, anyone but her, not now!' Kiran thinks frantically, turning around with fear. She was right, it was the Emblian princess, Veronica, standing behind of Kiran with her tome open. "Your bratty little friends are on the other side of the Gateway. There's no one to save you now..." The princess continues, as Kiran tries to get away, only to trip and fall. "I made a promise to you, and I intend to keep it. It's time to die." Veronica continues. Kiran was frozen in fear, starting to tremble. "I'll pop your head right off... Just like I used to do with my dolls." Veronica says, smiling wickedly. Kiran closed her eyes, taking a shaky breath, readying herself for the pain that was about to come.
But it never came. A sudden blast of magic came from the distance and hitting Veronica, making Kiran’s eyes snap open. "Who dares-?" Veronica says, surprised by what just happened, and fell down from the force of the attack. Kiran stumbles to her feet, knowing this was a good chance to escape. "Run, Kiran! Towards the light!" a male's voice shouts. A Gateway opens, and Kiran stood there, shocked. "Just go! Trust me! I'm Zacharias – Alfonse and Sharena's friend!" the mystery man, who claims to be Zacharias, shouts. Kiran nods, and starts running towards the gateway. Kiran sees a flash of light, which did concern her, but she kept running. "Keep going! Your almost there!" Zacharias shouts. Another flash of light appeared. "Kiran! You'd better watch out for Alfonse and the others!" was the last thing she heard Zacharias shouts, before seeing one more flash, jumping through the portal.
The next thing Kiran knew, she in a foresty area, tumbling to the ground as she went through the portal. "Oof!" She grunted as she landed on the ground. "Kiran!" she could hear Alfonse say. Ayla looked up to see the blue haired prince running over to her, followed by Sharena and Anna. They ran to Kiran, who was now getting back onto feet. "There you are. Am I glad to see you!" Alfonse says. "Oh, Kiran!" Sharena says, both her and Alfonse hugging Kiran. This caught Kiran off guard, but she hugs back to reassure them. "When I saw you disappear just like Zacharias did, I thought my chest would burst." He says, looking very worried. "Me too. I'm so glad you're safe. Seriously, don't do that." Sharena says. She looked like she had been crying. "I'm so sorry I worried you guys... But your friend, Zacharias, he saved me – Veronica found me and was about to kill me, and –" Kiran stops herself for a second, taking a breath. "It's... It's a long story, I'll tell you guys on the way back to the Order." She says exasperatedly, while Sharena and Alfonse pull away from the hug. "What? You say that Zacharias saved you? What are you talking about? How..." Alfonse says. "Let's talk later! We have to get out of here before they close the gateway on us again!" Anna shouts. Alfonse, Kiran and Sharena nod, and the group starts running back.
The next day, Kiran was sitting in a secluded part of the garden, trying to relax. Everyone in the Order of Heroes heard about what had happened the day before to her, and everyone was constantly asking her if she was okay. To Kiran, it was very exhausting, having everyone worrying over her. Even in the garden, she could still feel someone watching her, but she tries to brush it off. 'Probably just Feh...' She thinks, looking around and seeing the fluffy white owl sitting on a branch nearby. Kiran sighs, thinking about something else that happened yesterday. She expected Sharena to hug her, that was normal for her. But it wasn't normal for Alfonse to hug anyone. She sighs, trying to figure out what it could mean, blushing a tiny bit. She then heard rustling of leaves, making Kiran snap out of her thoughts, sighing. "If this is you, Kargero or Saizo, this is the third time I'm telling you, I don't need protection. I highly doubt that Veronica would sneak in here to kill me." Kiran says, sighing.
"You can't be certain about that, Kiran." Was the response she got, but it wasn't from either of the Hoshidan ninjas. She looked up to see Alfonse. "Oh! Alfonse, hey!" Kiran says, smiling a bit. "S-Sorry, Saizo and Kagero have been on me all day about my safety." She says sheepishly. "It's okay." Alfonse says, coming over to her. Kiran blushes a bit, but tried to hide it by pulling her hood up over her head. "Kiran? Are you okay? You've been acting off lately..." Alfonse says worriedly. "O-Oh, yeah, I'm fine!" Kiran says quickly. She was afraid of ruining the two's friendship if she was truthful about her feelings, especially if he didn't feel the same way. Alfonse frowns, having the feeling that she wasn't telling the truth. "Kiran, you can tell me." He says. Kiran gulps a bit. "I... I don't want it to ruin our friendship..." she mumbles, looking down slightly. "Hm?" Alfonse asks, not being able to hear her.
Kiran could feel her heart pounding wildly, sighing and standing up. "I..." She starts, unsure of how she should say this. Alfonse listens, frowning from worry. "I... I love you..." she says, quickly pulling her hood further over her face to hide her blush. Alfonse stood there, shocked. When Kiran didn't hear a response, she felt tears form in the corners of her eyes. "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything..." She whispers, about to leave. However, she didn't expect Alfonse to grab her hand and hug her. "There's no need to be sorry." Alfonse starts, wrapping one arm around her, then letting go of Kiran’s hand to move her hood. Kiran looks at him, shocked. She was still blushing, not expecting this. Alfonse then leans in and kisses her. Kiran’s eyes widen a bit, but then closed her eyes and kisses back. After a few seconds, Alfonse pulls away, looking into Kiran’s eyes.
"...Because I love you too." Alfonse finishes. Kiran smiles and hugs him, her hood falling off her head in the process. Alfonse smiles and hugs back, resting his head on top of hers gently, being that bit taller than her. "I wasn't sure if you felt the same way, I was scared of ruining our friendship..." Kiran mumbles. "Well, I do feel the same, and I want you to know that I vow to protect you, Kiran." Alfonse says. Kiran smiles looking up at him. "Thank you, Alfonse... I swear, I'll help you all I can throughout this war, and stay by your side, and bring peace back to Askr." Kiran vows. Alfonse smiles, kissing her forehead. "Thank you..." he says. The two stay in each other's arms for a little, promising that they'd never abandon the other.
