I don't know if you're still answering asks or anything but going through some of the asks has me thinking of so many questions lol these are all from the perspective of ex-lover F

how would F react with hurt MC confronting them with "I'm not just going to be your second choice! I deserve better than that. You left me for someone else, I honestly doubt you ever even loved me." before storming of with tears rolling down their face and I guess maybe F realizing they might have completely fucked everything up with MC?

Also does F consider how much bringing up their spouse in front of MC hurts MC and makes it feel like they got left behind for someone else?

And oh man knowing F slept with Lucille is kinda like a gut punch oof, When playing the game I assumed they married as friends and with F having feelings for MC that meant they didn't have sex but it being confirmed on here is like daaaaaamn like F you didn't just break my heart you fucking destroyed it, What are Fs' feelings on this matter if this is how MC felt? (especially it being it hurt the MC cause they ran off and slept with someone else while the MC loved them like MC is not bothered by anyone else's body count cause you know they weren't in love with them and didn't have shared feelings, its more the betrayal of trust causing this hurt. Like if F had given a proper goodbye and a proper rejection of MC feelings/breakup it wouldn't be as painful for MC, I guess my main point still being is how does F feel about an MC hurt they slept with Lucille?)

and I wanted to ask is if Percival was still around and since he was the one who invited Felix and F back how would he feel seeing at how hurt the MC is to the return of F or just seeing the MC even more heartbroken being around F?

oh one more angst question that applies personally to my MC and F, I play as Trans man MC who is exes with Fredrick just a scenario of my MC with his head down asking Fredrick "Is it because of how I am.......is that why you had to find someone else?" (I'm a trans man so I love getting to play characters true to me so thank you)

F is frozen in place, their throat caught in their throat. Not from the shock of your words but from the shock of realizing just how badly they fucked up. From realizing that the little sliver of hope that was blossoming in their bosom may very well be snuffed out.

This is complicated to answer, to be honest. I've answered A LOT of asks on this blog so it's been quite a while since I stated this but F slept with Lucille and did not enjoy it and really only did it for "duty". F would absolutely understand why MC would be hurt by them sleeping with Lucille but they know that they can't go back and fix that (or the other mistakes).

and I wanted to ask is if Percival was still around and since he was the one who invited Felix and F back how would he feel seeing at how hurt the MC is to the return of F or just seeing the MC even more heartbroken being around F?

If Percival were still around, he would be upset that MC is suffering. However, the fatherly & kingly part of him that carries wisdom would tell MC how important it is to face the things that break us with courage. MC deserves closure of some kind. That may be moving forward with F. It may not be. Percival would support MC but also encourage them to face their demons.

F falls to their knees, your hand in theirs, their eyes searching yours. "I'm an idiot, MC," they whisper, their voice soft and broken, haggard F places a tentative and soft kiss on your hand, "Let me spend every day showing you that my leaving has to do with how stupid I am and not because of you. Never because of you," F begs softly, gazing up at you.

I just completed the demo and loved it! I really like F (or my MC does). I just hope F understands that MC isn’t the same person she was when they were kids. Anyway, thank you for the experience so far!

Margaret: She's never been big on PDA. However, she does like holding hands in private. She would make a compromise if doing it in public was important to you. But ultimately would like to hold hands when it's just the two of you or people close to you are the only ones around.

F: F likes holding hands. They would be self-conscious for a while, knowing that they don't deserve you. But they would feel all giddy inside and find themselves smiling at every chance because their hand in yours just feels right.

Constantine: Constantine likes holding hands, although he would get frustrated if you try to hold his hand when he needs to be alert. How else is going to stay focused on protecting you? When holding hands, he's the type to randomly lift your hand up and place a kiss. Or rubbing gentle circles on your hand when he notices you're a little more stressed or maybe upset.

Felix: Felix is kind of indifferent about hand-holding. Well...until it actually happens. Then he doesn't want to let go. Instead, he wants to march around everywhere, your hand in his, gently pulling you closer when someone looks and giving them a look that says "mine."

I'm curious about something 👀

So with ex-lover!F, how did they ended up as the royal librarian? I mean, what's the timeline. Did the Queen know who was taking the position? If she did, wouldn't it be detrimental to MC, about to rule an entire nation, who was obviously really messed up with F's departure, to have to see their first heartache day in and out without even a warning? And then the assassin thing?

No criticism on my part (obviously the more angst the better, sorry MC). I'm genuinely curious how did it go.

Oooo Nick is here with the hard hitting questions!! Haha I love it. So, this is pretty much the same for ex lover or ex bff F, but here ya go!

It was actually the King who offered F the role. In the past, Percival knew that F was important to his child and wanted to support F and Felix on bettering their lives because of that.

When they left, he was pretty devastated and concerned. He had his people search for them for quite a while, trying to piece things together.

F and Felix arrived in Castelon a few weeks before Percival, James, and Constantine did. It wasn’t safe for F and Felix to travel from where they were until the war ended but once it was safe, they left quickly.

F was nervous about seeing MC. The siblings really didn’t know what had been going on since they were gone. They didn’t know MC wasn’t at the castle. Felix went to the castle on his own at first and the Queen saw him and they sat down in her office for a while to catch up…

As soon as Felix left, Vivian sent a letter to Percival because she knew he would want to know that they had returned.

Percival sent two letters back - one to Vivian, one to MC (the one you read in the current demo). The letter for Vivian insisted that she give F the librarian job. She didn’t want to but the current librarian had been wanting to retire for two years and she knew it was important to her husband. Percival had always hoped that MC and F would reconcile (as friends at least).

Was it misguided? Yes, Percival remembered how devastated his child was when F left. But he also remembered the happiness having F brought to them. He genuinely believed that in a couple weeks time, everyone would be at the castle and he could help MC and F work through things while being there for support.

F was hesitant to accept the position but with the generous salary, they knew they could support Felix, too and it would make everything easier as they settled in.

So, the timeline fell before the assassination.

when chapter 2 is released, the scene for meeting F at the ball will look different. Something new will be revealed and some other minor details will have been changed.

These will better represent the path I meant for F. Things got messy when I wrote the original demo. I’m excited to finally fix a scene that’s always felt wrong.

I'm not sure if this was already answered but how would the ROs react to a drunk MC accidentally confessing their feelings?

F: F would immediately begin confessing their own feelings before realizing you're not going to remember any of this in the morning and they would sigh. Then they'd chuckle to themself. Not today but soon.

Felix: His heart would skip a beat. He'd been trying to figure out his own feelings for you. But...you feel the same? He can't help the soft smile that finds its way to his lips. Just before he leaves you for the night, he'd whisper in your ear. "I care you for as well. More than I should."

Margaret: On the outside, Margaret would laugh and carry on. But she's freaking out internally. Feelings? For me? Her eyes would gaze at you. You'd catch her eye and grin. She'd laugh a little as she shakes her eyes. My lovely fool.

Constantine: He would freeze for a moment in shock and then ask, "What was that?" If you confirm what he thought he heard, it'd be hard to keep a smile off of his face. He wouldn't bring it up when you're sober but it would always be on his mind. It wouldn't take much longer for him to work up the courage to confess his own feelings to you.

What would the ROs do/say if they came home after being away for a week a saw MC sleep with a shirt of theirs, or just something that has their scent because they're lonely at night?

F: F’s gaze falls to your sleeping form where you lie with their shirt on. They can’t help but smile softly. They have never denied how lovesick they are for you. But they have insecurities and have made mistakes…which means they often wonder if they’re actually enough for you. But here you are, curled up in the bed with their shirt. They have never felt more sure of your love than in this moment.

Felix: Felix was surprised to see you sleeping in his shirt. He leaned against the doorframe and watched you for a few minutes. He’s not always good at showing his emotions and sometimes he doesn’t understand them. But you make him feel things that he’s never felt before. You make him see the colors in the world - when all he saw before was black and white. He bites his lip as he consider how lovely you look in his shirt with the moonlight bathing your face.

Constantine: Constantine’s breath catches when he sees you sleeping in his shirt. And his favorite one, too. He can’t help but think that you look better in it than him. He hates the idea of you being lonely at night. If it was up to him, his every night would be spent by your side. He pulls out the little painting of you that he stole from James. While you had his shirt, he had this to gaze upon. Because he was lonely, too. Constantine smiles as he tucks it away and turns back to you - nothing can compare to looking upon your brilliance in this moment.

Margaret: Margaret’s head tilted to the side when she saw you asleep with her cloak draped around you. Had you missed her as much as she missed you? She was wondering why the cloak wasn’t in her bag when she reached her destination. She laughs softly. It all makes sense now, you’d nicked it when she wasn’t looking. But that’s okay, because she’d done something similar. She was still wearing one of your shirts when she crawled into bed beside you.
