After taking the online test, this is the type that Jax got for his personality. So let’s take a look see what that means shall we? I took the things I thought related most to Jax from here and put them in this post, so these are not my words. I am a cheater.
ESTJ Strengths:
Strong-willed: A strong will makes dedication possible, and ESTJs don’t give up their beliefs because of simple opposition. ESTJs defend their ideas and principles relentlessly, and must be proven clearly and conclusively wrong for their stance to budge.
Direct and Honest: ESTJs trust facts far more than abstract ideas or opinions. Straightforward statements and information are king, and ESTJ personalities return the honesty (whether it’s wanted or not).
Enjoy Creating Order: Chaos makes things unpredictable, and unpredictable things can’t be trusted when they are needed most – with this in mind, ESTJs strive to create order and security in their environments by establishing rules, structures and clear roles.
ESTJ Weaknesses:
Inflexible and Stubborn: The problem with being so fixated on what works is that ESTJs too often dismiss what might work better. Everything is opinion until proven, and ESTJ personalities are reluctant to trust an opinion long enough for it to have that chance.
Judgmental: ESTJs have strong convictions about what is right, wrong, and socially acceptable. ESTJs’ compulsion to create order often extends to all things and everyone, ignoring the possibility that there are two right ways to get things done. ESTJs do not hesitate to let these “deviants” know what they think, considering it their duty to set things right.
Too Focused on Social Status: ESTJs take pride in the respect of their friends, colleagues and community and while difficult to admit, are very concerned with public opinion.
Difficult to Relax: This need for respect fosters a need to maintain their dignity, which can make it difficult to cut loose and relax for risk of looking the fool, even in good fun.
The first tattoo Maia ever received at the age of 14, it was her first gift from the Legion. While she has never liked and will never like her father, Maia is at least grateful that the mark of Cupid isn’t something utterly stupid.
II. Date of Arrival:
When Maia turned 15 and realized that she wanted to become a Centurion, that was when she discovered that she didn’t want to leave New Rome, that it was her home. And so, she got another tattoo on her collar bone. It is the date when she arrived at Camp Jupiter and it reminds her of how much her life has changed since that day.
III. Laurels and Cross:
While many would find Maia’s religious beliefs to be odd--after all, how could she possibly believe in any other god when she was literally related to a Roman one and had seen the power of the pantheon-- Maia firmly believes that something divine helped her get to New Rome and that it had nothing to do with the Roman gods. Besides, it never hurts to hedge your bets when you face off against monsters and war. When she was 18 and was named the Centurion of the Second Cohort, Maia got a tattoo of a laurel and a cross in the center, to demonstrate her faith in both the Roman Gods and in her Catholic roots.

While the buildings and atmosphere of New Rome have continued to have an artistically archaic feel to them, they are not the only things in the grand demigod city that have sprung out of an older age. Amongst the older, and more distinguished families of New Rome, many old traditions have stuck. One tradition is that of arranged marriages. In a world where both physical and political strength reign, families must ensure that their legacies of greatness are upheld. The Karavadra family is no exception. Upon the birth of their first children, Leopold and Catherine, they immediately began the search for a child of another family of suitable lineage and stature to one day marry each of the twins.
Years passed and they continued their search, conducting many an interview and fact-checking things families had claimed about themselves. Soon enough a second son was born by the name of Jackson. As Leo and Cat neared seven and Jax rounded six years of age, the Karavadra family heard news that an old, and somewhat forgotten family friend had given birth to suitable daughter nearly four years ago. It was soon decided that their daughter would be the chosen girl to be Leopold’s betrothed.
It was perfect, for the family was distinguished enough to be respected, but not powerful enough to overshadow the Karavadra name, as Leopold was expected to one day become head of his family. The young girl had the stellar family history as well as a notable godly lineage, and so the match was made. Meanwhile, Catherine was paired with the son of an ever more prestigious family. As a daughter in the Karavadra family, her father only saw her as valuable for one thing. And that was making powerful alliances via betrothal. Therefore, she was promised to one of the greatest families in New Rome as a future bride. All families involved decided to keep the arrangements under wraps as they did not wish for the knowledge to distract their young heroes from training and the like.
Soon after, the next matter of business was finding a future bride for Jax. In looking for Leo’s betrothed, the Karavadra had briefly considered another family who had a daughter that met their requirements. They were an old family, and one that the Karavadras had maintained a tentative alliance with over the years. Their own patriarch saw the sense in joining the two, and didn’t hesitate in offering up his granddaughter, Adriana Caninii. They hadn’t found her suitable for their older son, as they wished for someone with whom Theodore could build a new empire with, and the Caninii family was already an empire in its own right. Any dynasty the older son could’ve built with the Caninii family could have possibly been overshadowed or overtaken by the ancient Italian demigods, and the Karavadras wanted their own legacy. However, the Caninii daughter was perfect for a second son, aka Jax. It would give the Karavadra family allies in a high place, as well as give Jax a well-respected place in society.
The arrangements were made on a warm Tuesday evening as the two patriarchs, Gaius and Jefferson, sat over a couple glasses of wine and well-aged scotch. As they drew up the contract between them, hashing out details and the like— a young Jax and Adriana played in the room only one door over as their futures were signed away. The two older men arranging the betrothal had both seen the sense in acquainting them now, hopefully making for an easier time when they finally revealed their actions to the two young demigods. It wasn’t for the children’s benefit, but to ensure a smooth and easy wedding when the time came, with as minimal opposition as possible.
All was set and done. Leopold and Catherine would have their own future spouses, and Jax would have Adriana Caninii. But perhaps the best part is that none of the young demigods had, nor still have, the faintest idea of all the talks and set-ups of marriage, and continue to live their lives in the dark.
It began with that green tutu she loved so much. Other kids would point at her, whispering that she didn’t know how to get dressed because she didn’t have a mom. Teachers would glance away whenever the other children cornered Kolina at recess, kids will be kids. Parents would stare at the pair her and her father made, pity or disdain strong in their eyes.
They ripped the green tutu during recess one day. Tiny, greedy hands pulling at the fabric until a tear formed. Until tears formed. She was sent to the principal’s office after a sudden force of energy extended from her and all the kids that surrounded her fell all at the same time. She was told that she had overreacted, kids will be kids.
Kolina learned how to stop crying at school. How to shove it all deep inside her until she got home, safely in her father’s arms where she would cry so loud the paintings would rattle. She would cry until her throat was sore and her voice was hoarse and her father didn’t know what to do.
They would sit down every night after dinner, meticulously picking out every item of clothing. They made sure it matched, that only one piece was the bright colors Kolina loved to wear. They tried to give the other children as little ammunition as they could, but the teachers and the principal were right, kids would be kids. And the one thing that many kids can be is horribly honest about how they feel about a person.
So while Kolina didn’t face anymore comments about her outfits, she started to hear how she was weird and how people don’t want to be her friend because she’s freak. She stopped going outside for recess, where the other children would play with their friends and run away when she came over to play too. The nurse became her good friend, a safe haven for her, but she never did tell any of the administrators that a small girl hid with her every recess to get away from the bullies.
By the time Kolina was in the fourth grade, she had learned how to stop crying all together. Her eyes would go unfocused as the other children taunted her. She learned how to stare through them, how to ignore most of the comments she got about her personality. But as they always do, the bullies learned to adapt their methods when their victims learned to ignore them.
The physical comments began again in middle school. She was too short, too stupid, too ugly to be anyone’s friend. When those stopped working, they picked out specific things about her. And her bullies’ favorite were the freckles she had over her nose and cheeks. She began to be known as Lucy, for Lucy Liu. Kolina hated this in particular, seeing as she half japanese and Lucy Liu was chinese. This didn’t matter to the other kids, it was hurtful and it made her react.
By high school, the bullying shifted into pretending she didn’t exist anymore. No one wanted to be seen with the witch even if it was to tease her. Kolina had made a name for herself after checking out every book on witches and wicca the first week of freshman year.
It seemed even her new school got the memo as Kolina faced the other student’s ignoring her instead of anything outwardly mean. Even when she was placed into that special program, she rarely heard much of anything about her. Just that if she was already put into the program she must be an airhead.
But Kolina had perfected the art of staring through people. She had perfected the art of making herself seem dumb so people would pity her so much they would leave her alone. And she had perfect the art of never crying. Even sixteen years after she promised herself she would never cry, she kept that promise. Planning to keep it for the rest of her life.
-- - Her first is fairly explanatory, as every member of the Legion is inducted with markings on the inside of their right forearm indicating their godly heritage, the title of the Legion, and their years of service. As a daughter of mars, two spears present her godly parentage; the snake imposed along with it is the sacred, symbolic animal that confirms she is also a legacy of invidia. Adriana has thus far dedicated thirteen years to the Legion.
-- - Below her SPQR identification, a small greyhound adorns Adriana’s wrist. The greyhound is the emblem of the caninii family and was essentially an obligatory marking she earned at the age of eighteen.
-- - Adriana’s third tattoo is one of her own choice. Originally assigned to the first cohort, she thought it might be another fair identifier to include on her person, so she had the Roman numeral I inked into her left forearm, mirroring the standard Legion marking. Later when she was promoted to centurion of the fourth cohort, the daughter of Mars had the original cohort’s numeral scratched out to be replaced by the numeral IV and a laurel in pride of her new assignment and a symbol of her leadership position.

When war had officially been declared, Adriana had been unconscious. An "assault" against her by her co-centurion, Kolina Valla, had landed her in the infirmary, concussed and slowly recovering from a sleep spell. She awoke the day after to find that her cousin had been killed, the armory had been bombed — resulting in the deaths and injuries of numerous close friends and siblings, her co-centurion had escaped from prison and fled to the Greeks, and her nephew — who had helped Lina to escape — had been terminated in the process. The centurion's sentiments were impossible to dedicate to merely one side of the war. She had been left alone to watch over the legionnaires of her cohort who had remained, and had reflexively begun to direct salvage and repair efforts for the armory; yet, she could not agree with the Roman treatment of the Greeks. The rest of the Legion, on the other hand, was all too ready to annihilate their "alien" neighbors.
Adriana lingered among the peers she had made throughout her fourteen years of service until the funeral of her cousin, Fergus Fitzgerald. That night, an old friend and confidant met her in secret to propose a dangerous mission. Neither could strictly assign their loyalties, so they promised themselves to the one cause that truly mattered — bringing an end to the war. No matter the cost. Their plan has sent Adriana to the Greeks and situated her partner among the Legion. In order to bring the surest end to the war, both agree that a sacrifice must be made of the Romans, whose bloodlust won't be satiated anytime soon. The now-defected centurion is responsible for aiding the Greek cause, feeding them information received from the headquarters of their enemies. However, Adriana still has friends and family across the lines of battle. Regardless of her position, she will kill to protect those she cares for, even if it means jeopardizing her integrity within her current camp.
ooc: hey friends! as adri gets back into action, i wanted to post this quick little blurb about where she stands right now. i’ll be adding it to her bio page for reference, and will also be posting a self para very soon with further enlightenment on how she arrived at the greek camp and what she’s been up to since then.
Nico is the worst person to text in the entire history of the world. When he even replies to texts (which is rare, he’s been known to leave people on ‘Read’ for weeks) he insists on typing only with his index finger, spelling words out, and using proper grammar. His texts usually take up three to four messages, because he hasn’t grasped character limits yet.
He still uses an old BlackBerry from circa 2007, because it’s matte black and everything else shines and it perturbs the Hell out of him.
The contact names of his friends in his phone are all borderline insulting. They all know what theirs are. Nico has no idea that they know.
It took months of fighting before Will finally was able to convince Nico to wear something other than black: ash gray. It took promising Nico he’d look cute in it.
Nico is a lot more empathetic than he lets on - after the Battles of Manhattan, Rome, and Half-Blood Hill, he undertook journeys to the Underworld to reassure the dead Demigods that they had won and their kind were safe.
He keeps a photograph of Bianca hidden in a false bottom of a wrist-watch he wears constantly.
He has basically adopted Cerberus as a pet, and shows him a lot more affection than Hades ever did - thus causing the monstrous dog to act like a massive puppy when he’s around.
Nico has never seen a single Disney movie.
Despite feeling as cold as a corpse, Nico actually enjoys the heat - and has been known to wear sweatshirts with jackets over top of them in the middle of summer.
Nico sleeps like the dead (fittingly) and talks in his sleep. Usually in Italian.
Despite technically being in his nineties, Nico can be mischievous and immature at times. It comes, he maintains, from spending decades as a preteen at the Lotus Hotel and Casino.
