why marvel fandom treats kate bishop as a Canon poc?i love the idea of her being asian but she still white,in other hand riri williams,america,anya,lunella,cindy moon,kamala and probably other are actual young woc.
Because they can associate her directly with their white fav Clint, is the real answer, at least for white fandom who is obsessed with Kate over actual woc in the comics.
But otherwise, I think it’s unfair to call out anyone who has classified Kate this way. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing in 616 or Ultimate that has stated she’s white, am I wrong? There’s nothing wrong with fandom claiming her as a poc. But yes, we need more love for the characters you’ve mentioned and no one should be holding Kate up as some sort of example over actual canon woc.
