Furby 2012 and Furby Boom Custom Skin Pattern
Howdy! Haven’t posted in a while since life’s got me a bit busy. But I’m here with a pattern to share with everyone so that YOU can make your own custom Furby 2012 or Boom skins! I made this pattern all by myself so I take full credit. If you use this pattern, please let me know! I’d love to see your creations! :3 No credit required, just don’t steal it and say you made it.
Here is the pattern! Full instructions and notes are in this image, and the following image is the pure pattern with no notes. The pattern with notes is not guaranteed to be scaled properly, please take note.
This one is scaled properly.
To fit the new skin onto your Furby, pull the ears back as far as they can comfortably go and slide one ear hole onto it’s ear. It might be difficult, so fold your Furby’s ear hotdog style to help in sliding it on. Once that part is on, you can put the other ear through its hole the same way and pull the rest of the skin down.
Stuff the tickle sensor into the belly and reconnect it. Secure the face fabric to the Furby’s faceplate with hot glue or another adhesive. You can secure the bottom with elastic or glue it down.
Carl was my tester and I had to create a headband-type thing to hold his skin down as I cut the bottom part of his body too short, but the pattern his this problem all fixed so you shouldn’t have to do that yourself. Also yes his feet are far apart, I didn’t cut the holes according to my pattern because my scissors slipped so he’s just got a wide stance now!
Enjoy and Good luck!
Pixel kept Carl company while he modeled for me.
