There's a bit of a disucssion on how to add blush to characters with melanin on twitter and I kinda lowkey got tired of people pretending there's only two options. Of course my guide doesn't capture all of them but here are the ones I actually can formulate opinions on!
Here's the alt text:
This is mostly my personal opinion. It's not the law on adding blush to character's with melanin as we don't blush at all. Blood doesn't show through melanin so it's harder to capture things like light scattering and blush. However it's still desired to portray blushing! This is a quick guide on how I feel about a few stylistic choices people make to add blush or blush effects!
Outlined simple circles are one one of my favorites! They're not really at all realistic but follow the same stylisitc rules as anger marks like this which I believe makes them passable and more universal!
Smooth Pink Blush is my least favorite approach. I probably didn't really try to do it justice but most people don't really try applying light pink make up for blush from what I've seen. Make up is realtively a good reference "realistic approach for the hypothetical". I'm sure there are situations where it works, but I've never seen a case where it looks particular good.
(I'm being nice about this one btw.)
Darker Brown Blush is fine! It can sometimes go very wrong if you use desaturated browns however and it does not give the same impression as a blush. Remember that blushes are caused by a blood in the face. It's good! But if not executed correctly it can sometimes not work all that well.
Other than outlined circles/ovals I enjoy the approach of red-browns being used for blush. It keeps in mind what blushes are caused by while also keeping in mind that melanin would probably act more as a filter. Makes things look a little more lively than number 3!
Univesal best option , these can be light pink. You've won the lottery if you do this.
(Blushes made with slash marks since I didn't give a descriptor)
A video (link above) on three methods of tying 襻膊/pànbó (to push up the large sleeves) by 跳跳有只大柠檬. The OP said this is a quick and easy way to tie up the sleeves so she can eat hotpot/steamboat. Video in Chinese with Chinese subtitle.
Base Game Infinity Pool Tutorial
STEP 1
Add foundation and make it the shape and height you want!
STEP 2
Add a pool! make sure at least TWO sides are exposed for the best look!
STEP 3
Add a fence around the pool to make it “a different room” to the game, so you can have different foundations types!
STEP 4
Open the cheatbar (Ctrl+ALt+C) and type in the cheat “bb.showhiddenobjects” and choose the debug foundation shown in the pic below for the pool part, and any other foundation you like for the rest!
STEP 5
Remove fence around the pool, and add any other details you like! AND YOU ARE DONE!
A fun compilation video I put together on Tiktok of "how" I sculpt my Alexstrasza model! Should I do more videos like this (for clay and Amigurumi)? They take some planning and foresight, but Im quite fond of how it comes together!

your kirby is nice. ditto pokemon tutorial?
how to ditto
do you got any art tips that can help improve art? UwU
Idk how to "help" but the best I can do is this:
First I start off with a horizontal oval
After that I draw the jaw using uuh..lines
I draw 2 lines. One horizontal and another vertical.
On the horizontal line I draw the ears and in the face two circles for the eyes
I draw the nose and mouth. You can draw it anywhere, as long as you keep room for a chin and lips.
I draw the neck from the ends of the jaw (most of the time)
Then I just draw the shoulders..
Idk if this came out right. I never did this before.
Furby 2012 and Furby Boom Custom Skin Pattern
Howdy! Haven’t posted in a while since life’s got me a bit busy. But I’m here with a pattern to share with everyone so that YOU can make your own custom Furby 2012 or Boom skins! I made this pattern all by myself so I take full credit. If you use this pattern, please let me know! I’d love to see your creations! :3 No credit required, just don’t steal it and say you made it.
Here is the pattern! Full instructions and notes are in this image, and the following image is the pure pattern with no notes. The pattern with notes is not guaranteed to be scaled properly, please take note.
This one is scaled properly.
To fit the new skin onto your Furby, pull the ears back as far as they can comfortably go and slide one ear hole onto it’s ear. It might be difficult, so fold your Furby’s ear hotdog style to help in sliding it on. Once that part is on, you can put the other ear through its hole the same way and pull the rest of the skin down.
Stuff the tickle sensor into the belly and reconnect it. Secure the face fabric to the Furby’s faceplate with hot glue or another adhesive. You can secure the bottom with elastic or glue it down.
Carl was my tester and I had to create a headband-type thing to hold his skin down as I cut the bottom part of his body too short, but the pattern his this problem all fixed so you shouldn’t have to do that yourself. Also yes his feet are far apart, I didn’t cut the holes according to my pattern because my scissors slipped so he’s just got a wide stance now!
Enjoy and Good luck!
Pixel kept Carl company while he modeled for me.
