Iago fluttered back when he saw Fiann in the water. " Uhn. Hey, I'm not going to steal your treasure or try and make you cry for magic stuff. " he lied as easily as he breathed but was a bit too specific.
" I'm friendly. Just a normal....talkin' bird. No magic here. "
Yeah, right. Tell that to my old hat. Fíann raised an eyebrow at him.
“Then yer in tha' right place, bird. I ain't got no treasure. This is a brass compass.” She pulled up the compass that hung around her neck to adjust the chain. She knew exactly what he meant... but telling a lie in such an obvious way was not the best conversation opener.
And she knew a thing or two about bad ways to start a conversation, after all.
