USAF Thunderbirds North American F-100F Super Sabre 56-3924 by Wing attack Plan R Via Flickr: F-100F-15-NA. C.N. 243-200. 3924 flew with USAF Thunderbirds (1964-1966). Lost on training flight with Thunderbirds Oct 12, 1966 at Indian Springs AF Aux. Field, NV. Mid air collision with another F-100D, Maj Frank Liethen and Capt Robert Morgan were killed, the other pilot managed to return safely back to Nellis in his damaged aircraft.
