The first RAF F-4M which was actually a YF4M- despite surviving for many years it was flown ? To the military base at West Freugh and dumped for many years then scrapped - it was placed in a skip sent to a Manchester metal yard which then sold the metal onto China

The Maintenance Unit at RAF Aldergrove. In the foreground, F4M of 6 Sqn. My first F4 unit, and further back, F4K of 892 NAS, my second posting on the type.

F-4 Phantom deploying the braking parachute prior to landing.
These are UK F-4s and are landings at Ft. Stanley, Falkland Islands. After the war ended in 1982, the runway was too short for a Phantom. They even used AM2 aluminum mats to extend the runway, purchased from the USMC
