it’s officially the last week……

since the 2024 f1 season is officially over, i want to say a huge thank you to the sport and to all the fans and content creators who have made this sport so incredibly approachable as a new fan. i’ve only been here for a couple of months but, since the first race i watched (singapore), my life has been forever changed. what an insane first season for me! i’ve always loved sports and the joy and friendship that comes from loving the same teams and athletes, but f1 has been so unique.
i’ve allowed myself to be a general fan first and i’m so glad i did. i was able to build a genuinely love for the sport and experience the joys that come from good driving as the foundation for my fandom! i’ve been able to enjoy watching lando, charles, max, and george win races with some incredible drives.
mclaren and ferrari get a special shoutout now! i fell in love with carlos and charles and lando and oscar as teammates and friends. they’ve truly changed how i view athletes and sportsmanship. the way they work through the issues that come with being both competitors AND teammates and ultimately wish for the best for each other has been so beautiful to watch.
there are so many drivers that i’ve come to love and admire and i can’t wait to see so many of them again next year. there’s so much change coming before the 2025 season and i’m so excited to be there for every step this time🥹🫶🏻
