Street races aren't safe for motorbike racing 😔

There's all kinds of . . . stuff on FB discussing the pros and cons of both the Philip Island circuit and the street circuit in Adelaide.

I have not thoroughly researched anything, but I will flag 2 points:

*The facilities for both fans and teams/competitors at PI have been described as sub-par for some time now. Track is good, but everything else has been neglected (pit bays, width of pit lane, grandstands or lack thereof, bathroom facilities . . .)

*The organisers of the Adelaide event/designers of the track are making assurances that the track design has been done with rider safety at the forefront.

I wish I'd had the time to read the whole article (because being on FB I will never be able to find it now!), but I know it is based on the old F1 track - a modified version of which the V8 Supercar series has raced on for decades now. I don't know how they are going to make the concrete canyon sections of the track safer for the bikes.

If I can find any decent articles and/or maps of the proposed circuit I will share them with you.

Friend is doing research, on which are the best f1 tracks and why, any help to collect data by filling in this form (real quick and easy). Honestly didn't take long it's just saying how much you enjoy certain tracks.

As always bigger sample size the better
