RULES AND GUIDELINES
1. Minimum word count: 2000 words. No maximum word count has been put in place, but be mindful of your own time within the timeframe of the fest :). The works will be submitted to the round's AO3 collection and stay anonymous until reveals.
2. All works must centre on a driver x driver pairing (F1 or other motorsports, as long as they are of consenting age), irl driver partners are not permitted.
3. Any OT3/OT+ pairing is welcome as long as it does not contain an irl wag. (Example: Max x Lando x Martin Garrix)
4. Submitted works are required to be new, stand-alones, and completed; oneshots and chaptered fics are both allowed.
5. Two works at most per person. A second work may be created after the first work was submitted.
7. Sensitive topics/Triggering content must be tagged accordingly and warned for in the notes, even if considered spoilers. Missing tags/warnings will be pointed out upon submission. If unsure how/what to tag, please talk to us and we will help you! Same goes for the AO3 rating system (gen, teen, explicit, etc).
8. Plagiarism and AI-generated submissions will result in an instant, permanent ban.
9. A tumblr account is required as it will be the main way to communicate
10. Extensions: we do not grant them automatically if you skip a deadline, so please reach out if you need a couple more days to keep working on your project, we don’t bite :D
FAQs
What is a WAG?
‘Wife and Girlfriend’ commonly known by its initials WAG is the way used to typically refer to a driver’s female partner.
Do we have to write about IRL wags?
No, the fest focuses on F1 driver ships but turning one of them into a non-driver.
So, it can’t be genderbend?
It can absolutely be genderbend! You are welcome to do it if you so desire, however it is not a requisite.
Are former drivers allowed?
Yes! From recently retired all the way to 1950, as long as at one point they were F1 drivers they are welcomed to the fest. Go write the Fangio x WAG!Moss fanfic of your dreams.
Are drivers from other motorsports, female or male, allowed?
Yes, as long as one of the members of the ship is a Formula 1 driver. (Example: Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz Sr., yes that is the example I’m choosing).
Can we make a non-racing au wag au?
Yes! By all means, you are welcome to change the main sport the character partakes in. For example, you could write a Tennis Player Lewis Hamilton x Monaco Based Youtuber Nico Rosberg.
Does one of the drivers have to be a WAG since the start?
Not necessarily! You are free to decide how the story goes, as long as at some point in the fic one of the drivers is a WAG.
Can I submit a work anonymously?
You can! Please let us know in the sign-up form. Please be aware that a tumblr account is needed to sign up, and mods will see your AO3 account so it is not 100% anonymous, but your participation will be confidential!
Is smut allowed? Is dead dove/triggering content allowed?
Yes! Just make sure to tag and rate your work appropriately once submitted to ao3. This page contains a list of over 150+ common trigger warnings.

George doesn’t typically concern himself with the nitty-gritty details of Mercedes’ sponsorships, aside from the general who comes and who goes. Even if he’s got some contractually required photoshoot or instagram post, it’s shoved to the back of his mind until he’s physically doing it.
If he’d been a bit more proactive, George might have heard the part about sharing the stage with someone else in a photoshoot showing off their flashy new sponsor deal with Tom Ford - which George thought was a shame, he liked the free clothes he pilfered from the Tommy Hilfiger sponsor deal, he wasn’t half as keen on Tom Ford’s line.
