Sebastian didn’t want to risk sounding lame, but he couldn’t deny that he’d been looking forward to his morning with Hunter. It hadn’t consumed his every thought, but it definitely made getting out of bed to study on a Saturday much easier than it would have been otherwise. After going for a run, he showered and spent a little too much time on his hair, wanting to make sure he looked good while he was boring himself with studying for a French test he already knew he would ace. He really hoped Hunter wouldn’t keep interrupting his attempts at conversation to actually work on studying. Of course Sebastian would help Hunter with what he needed, but if studying took more than ten minutes, he’d be disappointed.
He spent one last minute smoothing out his light button up shirt, the sleeves rolled up to keep him from getting too hot. People had always told him he looked good in green, so he hoped Hunter would agree, not that he expected the other man to comment. Sebastian wasn’t even sure that he paid his own boyfriend compliments because he certainly had nothing to offer Sebastian when it came to flattery.
The subway ride wasn’t too bad, though Sebastian wondered if Hunter was annoyed at him for being late. It was only 9:02, but somehow Sebastian had a feeling Hunter was already waiting on him. The guy seemed a little too uptight, so it was lucky that he’d met someone like Sebastian who would be more than happy to help him loosen up and relax. If anyone knew how to show someone a good time, it was Sebastian, and when the guy looked like Hunter, he was more than happy to do so.
When he got to the cafe, he noticed Hunter already sitting, book open and ready to go. Not surprising at all. Sebastian gave him a wide grin and nod of acknowledgement before he got in line to order himself an Americano. It was still far too hot out for his liking, but he had never been a fan of iced coffee. He paid for his drink and took it over to the table Hunter had chosen, his smile returning as he sat down across from his classmate. “Bonjour,” he greeted, letting his accent roll off the tongue as he made himself comfortable in his chair. “Tu es magnifique ce matin.”
