“You totally mom’d me” Dylan repeated after her, completely amused and endeared by her reaction as she realized what she did. “That is absolutely correct, I totally would. Or more like I would be dadding you” he tilted his head only noticing how that sounded after it was out of his mouth “-not like daddy dadd- oh fuck me- moving on!” he made himself shut up as she checked his temperature, his eyes naturally closing as a reaction to her gentle touch over his forehead, softly open them back up after a few seconds, “Thanks” he whispered smiling fondly at the brunette. “Nah, not disappointed, if anything I’ll fall in love with all of them, the human being is not suppose to be flawless anyways, there’s no fun in that.” Dylan dismisses her worries, taking his mug for a first sip, checking if everything was as he pleases with his coffee, taking him a full minute until - again - realizing his choice of words. You don’t fall in love with your best friends flaws, for fucks sake Dylan! Sure you must still be on a fever?! “I don’t think I push my coffee addiction into other people... is that a thing? Well I hope I don’t. Heeey, don’t hate on my weirdness! It’s called being unique, and it’s good! Is like when I’m having a toast and then dip it in my coffee, but without having a toast!” He explained further is peculiar taste on how to take his coffee. “Best mug I own right there” He proudly claimed, chuckling. Following suit behind Hailee, he took one more long sip into his coffee before placing it on his coffee table, letting himself lay on his couch, taking advantage of Hailee as his personal pillow, silly smile on his face. “Hi” He winked her way. “Are we going deep? Or I can be funny about it?” He raised a brow her way, buying time to think about his answer.
"I'm sorry, I'll try not to do that again, even if it was hilarious." She says with another laugh, blushing from embarrassment and just from being around him, though she wouldn't mention the latter, it was an unfamiliar thought, feeling this way around your best friend, right? As Hailee blows on her tea to cool it down a bit more, managing to get a few sips in, she realizes too late just how bad of an idea it was because she sputters and nearly chokes on her tea at the realization hits her of what Dylan had unintentionally implied. "I mean, if you're offering.." With her free hand, Hailee quickly clamps her hand over her mouth in genuine shock over her own lack of filter as she snickers and turns away. "I'm so sorry, I have no idea where that came from!" Hailee admits as she takes in a deep breath, returning the warm smile once she finishes checking his temperature. "You're welcome." She whispers back, eyes slowly moving back up to look at him in both awe and slight confusion as her brain registers his next statement. "You..would fall in love with all of my flaws?" Blinking quickly, Hailee has to shake her head to try and focus on anything but the way her heart raced when she was this close to Dylan, he was her best friend, and she was aware that this wasn't a normal reaction when just hanging out with a best friend. "A-Are you sure you're not running a low fever?" She asks with a small laugh to try and break the tension. "It can be a thing, depends on if you have friends that push you, though in my case, they try to do it lovingly by pushing me out of my comfort zone. Unique is one word for it, babes, but I will say that the coffee and toast analogy isn't a bad one, I've never tried it to know, but it sounds good." She remarks, her fingers holding tightly onto the cup even more now as he tells her that it's his best mug. "I'm honored then that you decided to bestow this one on me, thank you, kind sir! I'm surprised it's not a Mets one though." Hailee muses with a giggle, and once they had both been fully situated on the couch, she can't help but run her fingers through his hair with him laying on her lap, the smile on her face never once leaving. "Hello there." At the wink, she beams and slightly tilts her head to the side. "Well, can both be an option? Because now I'm genuinely curious as to what a funny and deep wish would be."
