Why we need to be careful about how we talk about Gavin Newsom

We’ve all seen and heard about Gavin Newsom clapping back at F47 at this point, including his proposal to the California people that they redraw district lines. Many people are rallying behind him and this proposal, some even going so far as to say he should be the democratic nominee for president in the next presidential election. While I support this proposal, and hope the people of California make the right choice to defend what little remains of democracy, we need to understand the threat that is Gavin Newsom.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth have awarded Boeing the $20 billion contact for the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) Program, to fully develop and produce a sixth-generation replacement for the U.S. Air Force’s F-22 “Raptor” Stealth Fighter, beating out the other finalist defense manufacturer, Lockheed Martin.

Did you know that Boeing’s last all-original fighter was the P-26 Peashooter, which first flew in 1932? Every Boeing fighter since has been an inherited design (via mergers). Yup, they’re jumping straight from Gen -0 to Gen 6 with the F-47 NGAD. Bold move, Boeing 👏
