When: 16th May, afternoon sometime Where: The entrance to the Hufflepuff Common room @fabiansacharmer
As Darcy approached the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room, she assumed the logical thing to do was to simply knock, until someone let her in. That backfired almost immediately, as she found herself drenched in vinegar. “Great. That is -- great.”
“I don’t know what makes less sense, electricity or magic. And that says a lot,” Andromeda muttered, mostly to herself. Some instinct told her to look up — it had been hours since she’d sat down to puzzle over her textbooks and her research project, a clunky Muggle wireless — and she flushed when she realised she was not alone. “How long have you been sitting there, listening to me talk to myself?” she said, smiling.

“Hey mate!” Molly waved, smiling. “You were good up there.” She said, placing her hands in her hoodie’s pockets. “How is your stomach?” @fabiansacharmer

Location: Edgar’s Apartment, Muggle China Town, London Time: The night to the 4th of December Status: Closed, for @a-glasshalfempty
Fabian’s head was bobbing as sleep and gravity worked together against the brief moments of consciousness when Fabian would then jerk his head back up again. His eyes would briefly fasten on the TV before falling close again, and the cycle began again. Edgar had long given up on focusing on the old Christmas special flickering on the screen as well, his gaze watching his friend’s fight with exhaustion. He was certain that on any other day, he would’ve laughed about this, or at least found amusement tickling in his chest. Tonight he was himself too tired to even really register what was happening before him, there, on the other side of the couch. His foot reached out to poke Fabian in the side. “Hey...”
Fabian had disappeared after their mission on the first of December. Edgar had not been fazed by this as Fabian tended to disappear out of view when he wanted to, and Edgar had been way too busy dealing with the aftermath of everything to make himself worry about his friend on top of that. The first night of December he had stayed at the Potter Estate, taking the minutes of all that had happened and all that was happening now, helping where he could -- mostly with conversations and patience, since Miss Vance had already taken care of most physical wounds. Perhaps, if he had stayed one more night, he would’ve heard of not just the heard of Mister MacKinnon’s state but also exactly what had caused it, but as it was, his mind was focused on the troubled minds around him. The next night he wanted to spend at home, spend in quiet, spend with a book, hoping to escape the endless loops of thoughts about successes and failures. But his anxiety consumed him easily, steadily, and he knew he’d have to find Amelia soon if he wanted to be of service again to the Order tomorrow. Right at the threshold between evening and night, though, just as he was slipping his keys into his coat to leave, someone knocked on the door.
The invitation to go out had meant to sound cheerful but Edgar would’ve needed to purposefully ignore the heaviness in Fabian’s expression to believe it. To believe the mirth. And because the outside world was too busy, too chaotic tonight, he had simply walked over to his cupboard and got out the cider and tequila instead. Had Fabian meant to talk to him about something, he veiled it well, and with each drink Edgar was more and more willing to let himself get distracted from the past few days. Weeks. Not having eaten that day and not being a particularly good drinker in the first place, the night quickly became a blur, the first clear thought he could grasp again being the one long after midnight, when the Christmas movie was on TV and Fabian was nodding away to the realms of sleep.
The frown. This frown on Fabian’s face was the first clear thought. Now that exhaustion had washed away the strained cheerfulness, the frown had appeared and it made him look burdened with unmentionable weight. Edgar’s fingers curled tighter into the fabric of his cardigan, as though too aware that even if he were to reach out, he’d not be capable enough to help. That was the thing with trust, wasn’t it? You couldn’t just grab it. You needed it to be handed to you. Therefore, after a long moment, he instead reached out with his foot, stretching his leg as he poked Fabian’s side. “Hey,” he whispered, “you either got to go home, or go grab the blanket from my bedroom.”
“I brought your favourite. Don’t let Gid get his grubby hands on them.”

@unspeakableprcwett
Rodolphus had felt an almost a fire of energy within him now that he was back at the Ministry from his work. And, after his...interesting...conversation with his wife, his energy quickly turned into a jealous rage. Anger filling him throughout as he recalled Bellatrix’s words. Fabian Prewett. The twin that had caught the attention and affection of his beloved in school. However, that was all over now, and Lestrange lived by his own way of thinking in life; anarchy; and without rules. Despite the charms he knew the Unspeakable would probably place in his office, the Slytherin man made his way to it, slipping inside.
Once there, Rodolphus looked around. So much important work...he thought, as a flash of distasteful images of his wife and Fabian coursed through his mind. No. No one could touch what was his - and needed to enlighten the other man of just that.
Blood running hot through his veins, Rodolphus started with swiping off everything from Fabian’s desk in a flurry. From what he remembered of the other from school, he took pride in his work, almost obsessed. Lestrange soon looked to the mirror in there, smirking, “Bombarda!” he yelled, making books fly off their shelves as well, some completely destroyed. His head tilted at a few of the crystal balls he’d swiped off the desk, pointing his wand and shattering multiple of them.
Although, he was careful of the containment jars, not wanting to hurt himself in this process, wiping his mouth with a sigh. So far so good. He wouldn’t let himself be finished until he thought he repaid Fabian for kissing Bellatrix - wanting to save her soul! Ha! He laughed aloud, smirking as he threw the imagoscope against the window, watching the glass fall. Panting, he looked around. My oh my, so many treats... he thought, wondering just what he would do next for Fabian’s punishment.
At the Greenhouses || Betty & Fabian
Betty finished putting on her lipstick, straightened her skirt and turned to Aurora. "Are you sure you're not coming?" she asked, but she was already expecting the shake of the head that Aurora offered. She had spent the past hour trying to persuade her after all. "See you later then! Don't fall asleep in the Astronomy Tower!" she headed to the door, laughing off Aurora's retort of not falling asleep in the greenhouses and left to go to the party. The party... she couldn't help but laugh a little as she remembered Hayden's invitation. Have a few drinks, get a bit hammered, find a nice bloke, and have a good shag. Well, thanks to his bringing firewhiskey to their study session earlier that evening, she was already well on her way to having the few drinks, though she still had a clear head.
She headed across the grounds to the greenhouses, passing all the ones which they usually had lessons in and heading for the one at the end that was never used. Except that tonight it was clear that there was a lot of activity in there. She handed her money over to Mary at the door and entered, grinning at Hayden as she grabbed a drink and looking around to see who was there. Emme and Leigh were both there, but in conversation with other people and she decided that she would talk to them later. They did share a dorm, after all. She didn't have to be joined at the hip with them.
