Digiweek 2021
Day 6 - Dream
"Why do you love Digimon? Why do you love it until now?"
Hard to resume! Digimon is easily the franchise that most influenced me in life - not always necessarily the series, games or the characters themselves, but mostly in the sense that it was through Digimon that I got to meet amazing people, grow long term friendships and develop personal virtues/qualities, aside from reinforcing my beliefs, positivity and attitudes.
I have good times with friends through the games (because even to get stressed in Digimon Masters Online we did it together 😂 not to mention the general agreement that Neemon is too overpowered in Digimon Rumble Arena 2 so we all collectively attack him first and only then we start the match between ourselves ASHUAHSUAHSUAHSUA).
I had the chance to have lots of fun cosplaying as Takuya Kanbara, from Digimon Frontier.
I made friendships that are at least one decade old by now or very soon.
I have received gifts and encouragement to keep going with my art. I also have given gifts and encouraged other artists, who in turn also gifted and encouraged other artists, starting up a supportive solidarity chain. In truth, it became a common thing to trade gifts between some of us already, sometimes the postman calls up on our front door and we go there to receive the package already with a smile, knowing that distance doesn't matter when you have the digital world to keep in touch with your friends and reach out sending and receiving gifts via mail.
Digimon gives me the opportunity to live an INFINITE DREAM, AN ENDLESS TALE. Makes me understand that we are THE BIGGEST DREAMERS, to NEVER GIVE UP because we got a FIRE power, we can make WISHES to SHOOTING STARS and KEEP ON with our adventure, feeling that OUR WIND WILL BLOW TOMORROW with our BRAVE HEARTS, BREAKING UP the barriers that block our way so we can finally reach our life TARGETS. See what I did here? Heh 😅
Digimon is a great franchise and I am eternally grateful for this dream come true.
