Rest In Peace.
I know this needs backstory and so I’m posting it with this picture. This is a Red Fox, Vulpes vulpes, male, healthy and definitely an adult. He was struck by a car, maintained minimal injuries but was killed on impact. We found him only a few hours later. I live in Australia where this animal is a pest species but regardless, they’re still animals and we still mourned for his loss. What to do? We couldn’t leave him by the roadside so we took him and buried him. I collect animal bones (I only take animals that are already dead, have never killed) and my preferred method of decomposition is burial. I’ve got more pictures of him and ended up with almost all of this beautiful animal’s skeleton, as you’ll see over the following days. ~Lainey
A beautiful boy.
Could just be sleeping..
Death
It happens, it’s sad. Wildlife are killed every day by vehicles on our roads and this is the terrible reality of being human.
Since I posted the fox photos recently, I feel like I should post some happy dog photos or something, to make it clear that I have hobbies aside from picking up roadkill.
I have a few really gorgeous photos to show everyone and especially anyone that LOVES foxes...... get keeeen
Please tag anything you post that is #dead or #taxidermy as this is disturbing content!
Okay sorry! I have a million tags on it but didn’t think of that.
