Quick repaint over this deleted post because this is like one of my favorite Hood things.
It’s been a few years since I’ve thought about Hood but if I recall, he hAS feelings. He just has trouble feeling them. And also empathy is tricky. He just has a really good sense of good and bad.

My problems with Peter David aside, I did like the concept in the Jack of Blades short story. That said, the possibility that Jack would have escaped death not once but BOTH times kinda renders the entirety of the first game meaningless unless you donned Jack’s mask.Since it’s kind of that guy’s magnum opus to kill that guy, why not immortal Hero of Oakvale?
I’m a sucker for eternal struggles of good and evil, esp if it somehow involves shedding the good guy’s “humanity” ♥♥♥
I thought I’d add a hood so that my tin can could live up to the title of “Hood” I gave him and then realized I had pretty much made blue Jack but, since that was kind of the point, I just went with it.
Y’know, from ppl I’ve seen talk about him, I thought Jack of Blades would be way more EDGY. I mean...he’s an asshole with somewhat terrifying connotations but he’s also kind of a dork. Just an asshole that thoroughly enjoys being an asshole.

I spent the entirety of TLC getting the shit kicked out of me.
Like...not where I was actually in danger of dying because I maxed out physical stats and healing but just CONSTANTLy getting wailed on because I am STILL not good at this game at all
Realized I wasn’t getting any writing done today so I went and tackled this idea that’s been haunting me since yesterday
On one hand, I really hate the whole theme of losing your humanity with your body (like cybernetics make you evil for some reason???) Puts a lot more important on your flesh than there really ought to be
On the other hand, I DO like the idea of entities being more susceptible to otherworldly influences without a body to ground it.
So anyway, have a semi-divine nature-ish spirit Hood for no reason other than the concept tickles me
