oooooo either probably Surfin USA by the Beach Boys or Love Grows by Edison Lighthouse. theyre just so happy and i cant help but feel like the optimal time to listen to them is when its clear blue skies and multitudes of greenery

changing it slightly but New Discovery, I cry every time and its worth it always (although its not heartbreaking but more really emotive and makes me have emotions) i think thats probably the best answer I can give rn

123 Fable-ous! Adapted from Aesop’s Fables by Chris Hainsworth dir Heather Currie for Lifeline Theatre. I’ve mentioned a lot of Lifeline Mainstage shows at this point, but Lifeline also has a Kid’s Series, you know, for kids. But I have to say, some of my favorite Lifeline shows have been from the Kid’s Series. So I became interested in writing one. Since I don’t have kids, I don’t come across a lot of books for kids, but I was inspired by two previous Lifeline Kid’s Series installments, The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs adapted by Robert Kauzlaric and How to Survive A Fairytale by Jim Grote. I began thinking about Aesop’s fables, and weaving some of them together in narrative around the Tortoise and the Hare. And that maybe that we didn’t know everything that happened that day. Initially, when I was kicking around the idea, I thought I would have the Hare be the narrator, but after a suggestion from Katie, I switched it to the Tortoise. And it became the story of Harrington T. Jordan, the most famous and fastest Hare in the world. The Tortoise is one of Hare’s biggest fans and goes to seek their autograph, and before they both know it, Hare and Tortoise are tricked into racing by Mildred Mouse, who has her own nefarious plans. As they run the race, Hare and Tortoise get to know each other and run into other animals, and everyone lives and learns and grows. Heather Currie and the cast made me look really good on this one. I wasn’t in the room everyday because I was in rehearsals for another show. I really loved Fable-ous! and hope to find something else to adapt for the Kid’s Series. If you live in Chicago and have kids, you should check it out. The only thing that's missing is some snow and some proper footwear (because real talk those heels are not meant for snow and ice lbr). Anyways time for the advertisement shout out!
