Coworker: I’ve become so acccustomed to Zoom/Webex telling me who someone is that when I meet and run into them in person with their face masks or full PPE, I can’t recognize them! Or if I’ve only met them with their mask on, if I see them without it, I can’t make the connection. It makes me anxious and it’s embarrassing when I look like I don’t know who they are or I walk by without saying hello!
Me: Yo, welcome to my world—that’s what it’s like to be faceblind. Welcome to playing the social game on level difficult/impossible depending how bad your prosopagnosia is.
