To say being caught staring was embarrassing was somewhat of an understatement. Darin flushed, brightly, at the way that Brecar looked back at him.

It was almost pitiful to be so easily flustered by the other man. To be so embarrassed by his mere presence.

To have a crush on the Rebel Alliance representative who was helping their cause was, quite simply, ridiculous.

And yet, there they were.

Darin nodded in response to Brecar’s words, trying to school himself to his more usual composure. After all, there were far more important matters to attend to.

“Yes,” he agreed, a little softly. And then he cleared his throat and said, “Might I speak with you, Brecar? In private? I--there were some things that I wanted your opinion on.”
