The Dybbuk, who a moment before had seemed so confident, took a step back, its mangled frame trembling in fear. “You’re not The Doctor!”

“Very clever.” The Figure leaning against the Tardis stared at the  Dybbuk with golden eyes that cut through the mist like torchlight. “Not my hardest role, knock a little bit of the hard edges off, grin like an idiot every few minutes and possible lick a wall if it came to it.” The voice became old, even older than even the Doctor’s ancient sadness. 

“You are so far gone you would have probably believed it even if all I had done was change my clothes. Hate is a very blinding thing...pity you never learned that when you were alive.” It rang with the memory of millennium and the power that had shaped suns and destroyed nations. “If you had just messed with the Gallifreyan you probably would have lived (pardon the phrase) but you had to mess with the Angel.” Wings, six of them, blacker than the darkness all around them unfolded from the tall, slender frame. “And that is something I cannot forgive.”
