Can I get away with not doing eyebrows
I remembered a moment ago when I was cleaning out the pache airbrush that it had come with two extra pins. One of them was smaller so I put that on and tried it out on Dai.
ITS SO. MUCH. EASIER.
Why did I not do this before??? I am a dumb sometimes. I can do eyeshadow with precision without a struggle now! And lips! Exciting. I'm going to practice on Dai some more before I use it on any commissions, but soon I may be doing completely airbrushed faceups! Yay!
Airbrush problems..
Welp... I have to buy an entirely new gravity feed airbrush now. I'd been using it mostly to seal my work, and the one I'll be using for paint is on it's way next wednesday. I ordered that one in the first place because the tip suddenly fell off my first one and fell down a nearby vent. Which was fine, it still worked with the sealant, but I could no longer control the size of the dots of paint I was making. But then it stopped spraying at all, and when I tried cleaning it, the rest of the tip just broke in half, with part of it still stuck in the main part of the airbrush. Ugggghhhh >> I am never buying a Master brand airbrush ever again. There are no instructions on cleaning and everything is so fragile and loosly put together.I'm looking at Badger and Paasche from dickblick right now. I've heard good things about them. Any airbrush users have advice?
Life in the summer...
So... just got my booboo in last night and have been wanting to do the faceup. Today it isn't humid, but dagnabbit if the wind hasn't picked up. I guess Omitaa is going to be faceupless for a bit longer.
Ok. Wtf did this person seal this doll's face with. I have scrubbed for a good 15 minutes with windsor and newton, and I have barely gotten the first layer of linework off. Still have a good 3 layers of blushing to remove. Holy jeebus, this is hard. I don't want to keep working lest I risk doing damage to a very limited Zinc faceplate.
Also, under the linework, the resin didn't yellow as badly as everywhere else. He's got white triangles under his eyes where his lashes used to be. Wtf.
I want to work on Amon but our ac is broken and its really humid inside so the sealer will probably screw up his face.
Fuck.
so while i was taking that picture of nyssa in her new outfit, i noticed something...
she has a very slight scuff on her cheek. ; A ;
i already very lightly went over it with a dry magic clean eraser, but it didn’t help much. might try a damp paper towel or something tomorrow, but yeah, it made me all sad. :x
sigh~ at least it isn’t as bad as when i totally fucked up siere’s commissioned faceup forever and ever ago. that one still stings.
