This is an early version of a doll I produce and is intended to be used by printing it out and building on top of it with two part Apoxie sculpt or Milliput or something similar. It can also be imported into a 3d program of your choice and modified.

This model has been printed and tested in the past, however if you have problems with it please let me know. She has her stringing channels, magnet positions in her face, and she's been hollowed in order to save on resin used.

Right now the doll is 16in, however you can use the Bounding Box file in order to adjust it to the scale you want, note the percentage you are enlarging it and apply that percentage to all the other parts in the slicer of your choice.

YOU CANNOT: make a cast of the printed doll without making significant changes to the doll that has been printed. You cannot sell the files, changed or not, in a digital format. Only prints may be sold.

Hello, everyone! I'm happy be opening US based dye commissions! Currently, I will only be accepting commissions from within the US, due to the cost of international shipping. (Canada may DM but costs can still be quite high)

About me: I have been dyeing dolls for around 5 years now. It's an enjoyable part of the hobby for me, and as someone who is unable to work, I hope it can be a source of some income.

I exclusively use Rit Dyemore. Turn around time is 1-2 months. 3 slots available. You may claim multiple slots.

At this time I will not be mixing custom colors. This takes more time and trials and I cannot guarantee I will get what you want. You may request a mix I have done for myself previously. *Exact color match is not guaranteed.* Rit Dyemore offers a wide range of colors and I am happy to use any of them straight. I can get a light or deep color with most of them. *Note: I may add a small amount of another color if toning is needed. Ex. Graphite must be toned with blue or purple to get a more pure black. Otherwise it will only look very very dark brown.

Prices for full dolls, one solid color start at:

Extras:

Additional color (only 1 additional color): $10 (ex. An msd: torso, head, arms-blue, lower half-pink. This would be $70 rather than $60)

Restringing: $15 for fantasy dolls. $10 for everything else.

*if you choose restringing you must send your doll in a large enough box. If the box is not large enough (i.e. doll was sent unstrung in a smaller box but you want it returned strung) you will be charged for additional packing materials. Cost may vary and will be added to your return shipping invoice.

Body shimmer: $10 all sizes. Your doll will be covered in a resin-safe liquid sealant that has been mixed with shimmer color of your choice. All shimmers have a duochrome shift. Message me for available colors. *chipping or rubbing off of sealant will occur over time in the joint areas and may rub off with a lot of handling*

I do not offer body blushing or tattoos.

Payment is due upon my acceptance of your commission and you have read and signed the google form containing my terms and conditions. I will send a link to the form when we have agreed on your service. Failure to properly sign will result in rejection of your commision.

Customers are responsible for shipping both ways. When you ship your doll to me, please send me a picture of the receipt so i can charge the same amount on your return shipping invoice. *I highly recommend getting insurance. IF YOU DID NOT BUY INSURANCE TO SEND TO ME, I WILL NOT BUY INSURANCE TO SEND IT BACK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR UNINSURED PACKAGES. If you did purchase insurance, please tell me the amount.

Return shipping will be charged when the dye job is complete. *I will not ship your doll until the shipping has been paid*

Please send your doll to me completely blank with no sealant residue. *sealant residue will result in blotchy dye. However, if you are going for a vitiligo effect this will achieve it in most cases. The residue will dye darker and then when it gets cleaned off the resin underneath will be significantly lighter and in some cases, undyed. **Let me know if you have purposely left sealant residue. Results of this process will vary.**

Dolls will be wiped with 99% alcohol and rinsed in water prior to dye jobs.

Companies that i have experience dyeing:

The best: Dollzone, Little Monica, Migidoll, Luts (consistently very even)

Very good: Akagi Doll (not perfect but just a bit uneven)

Decent: Dream of Doll, Dividing Line/Fenjiexian, Xagadoll, Resinsoul (some unevenness)

Not great: Doll Family-A and H (very noticably uneven), Shoushou Doll (however others have had good experiences so i'm willing to try again)

Absolutely not: Loongsoul (extremely uneven. I will NOT take commissions for Loongsoul!)

Companies i do not personally have experience dyeing but others had good results:

Myou doll, Doll in Mind, Withdoll, Soom, Doll Chateau, Lillycat, Fairyland

I’ve been meaning to write up a shareable post for some time now regarding the fiasco with Layla Szczepaniec and her company JpopDolls. I’ve been putting it off for months now because the whole situation just makes me so unbelievably angry that it is hard to calmly and succinctly explain all the bullshit Layla has put not only myself through, but also dozens of other customers and doll artists through.

I’m writing up this post because I do not want anyone else to be in the same position as I am now where they’re out of luck getting back their money and have nothing to show for it other than a few Facebook messages and emails full of nothing but excuses and lies. If this post prevents even one person from doing business with JpopDolls, I’ll consider that a win. If it causes Layla to shut down the business for good, I certainly wouldn’t shed any tears over it.

The short of it is that I preordered an Asella Raspberry doll in coffee skin back in October 2020. I never received the doll nor have I received a refund. Layla has not posted to the JpopDolls Facebook page (the only active source of information) since June 2022. Comments are also limited on the FB page (or at least I know that I am personally blocked from making comments on it). I am not the only one in this position either. There are people that preordered dolls from early 2020 that never received them, and there’s people that purchased in stock goods that either never received them, or it took months to receive them.

The long story is that back in February of 2022, Asella herself posted on her Facebook page that she had recently been in contact with Fdoll and Island Doll (2 companies that JpopDolls had used in the past for casting Asella’s dolls) since she was planning to run some preorders herself, and found out that neither of them had received orders from JpopDolls in the last 1-2 years, despite the fact that Layla had been regularly running preorders since 2020. Prior to this news, I’d spent a little over a year emailing and messaging Layla asking for when dolls would be arriving, and always given something along the lines of “soon”, and once given an actual month for when the dolls should get delivered to her.

When contacted about this news, Layla stated that Asella was misinformed and that the dolls were delayed due to the 2020 COVID shutdown and casting problems. She then stated that the dolls would be delivered by spring, and if they weren’t, customers would be refunded. Spring came and went and no dolls materialized and no refunds were sent.

In summer of 2022, a public Facebook group was created called People and Businesses who lost money to JPOP dolls. It currently has 79 members. It was a group that aimed to try and organize all of the JpopDolls customers that had been having issues with the company. Together, dozens of us filed formal complaints to the Washington state Attorney General’s Consumer Resource Center, as well as the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center. Unfortunately, nothing came of these complaints. I believe some individuals also filed police reports and knew of at least one person that was thinking of trying to go to small claims court since they lived in the same state as Layla. I haven’t heard any updates regarding that though.

From what I read in the group, JpopDolls has been ripping off artists that worked with them for years, at least since 2017 (when Grace was still alive, so this isn’t a new problem with a new owner). This has led those artists to stop working with them in the past. A post from October 2022 also stated that they received an email from JpopDolls about a sale on doll clothing and accessories as well as in-stock dolls, so Layla is clearly still actively trying to do business and the website is still up and running. I have not personally heard anything from her since emailing her in March.

I have personally come to accept that I will not be getting my money back, and even if I did receive the doll by some act of God, I wouldn’t want it anyway. The entire situation soured me on a doll that was my grail for a majority of my time involved with this hobby. At this point all I want is to make sure that nobody else does business with JpopDolls (or Layla Szczepaniec) ever again.

Do not buy anything that’s in stock or on preorder. Do not give your hard-earned money to someone that is more than happy to take it and then never send you what you paid for. If you have an order with JpopDolls that is still within the timeframe your bank or PayPal give to file a claim, get your money back now.

Please do share this information with your fellow doll collectors, new and old alike. I don’t want anyone else put through this nonsense.

I am thinking about selling my Doll Chateau Elizabeth, I don’t have time for major projects at the moment and she takes up so much space

The only thing is that I don’t have her certificate and that stresses me out. I bought her from a local community member who had lost it after moving (totally fair, I’d struggle to find mine with all the moving I’ve done). Her faceup looks right and she’s got a doll chataeu plate in her head but the body blushing is completely different

Any thoughts/advice?

During the month of February 2022, which is Black History Month in the US, they are trying to raise $100,000 for a new physical location in Attleboro, MA (USA). Please consider donating. I’m moving!! So much has happened in the last little while, but I’m hoping that with a new location that doesn’t drain my will to live, I might be able to spend some times on my dolls (no guarantees tho, full time work takes a lot out of me tbh)
