hello ziven. a bit of a sad rodent fact today. you’ve probably heard of the rat king (an extremely rare naturally occurring instance of rats’ tails getting tangled / stuck together (for example w discarded glue) preventing them from carrying on w their lives nd therefore causing the rats to die) but did u know that some believe the name itself came from a German insult thrown at the pope back then. it was supposed to accentuate how he (old rat) lived at his subordinates’ (younger rats) expense, relying on them to be supplied w resources. although possible in nature, rat kings occur extremely rarely. as they were once believed to be a sort of prophecy during turbulent times, some of the rat kings found were actually hoaxes, artificially formed by humans
