new party type just dropped
we called it an anti-baby shower :)
for context i made the decision this year to get my tubes tied (which for educational purposes is kind of a misnomer, i actually got my fallopian tubes completely removed).
my roommate and i had the idea during a smoke break that since i’ll never have a baby shower, we should do an ANTI baby shower to celebrate my tube removal lol. we had a uterus themed party with several games based off baby shower games. not pictured were the placenta jell-o shots (red colored of course), and a few other decorations that we made.
we played guess the tube length (based off the game where you cut a ribbon to guess the circumference of the parent-to-be’s pregnant belly), we cracked easter eggs with prizes and of course, pin the tube on the uterus. all the games’ prizes were sex related - condoms, lube, dental dams, etc. we wanted it to be silly + sex positive.
the moral of this story is to throw silly gimmick parties around events in your life (especially if those events were scary and stressful)
