An irate Trump pulled the plug on his Meet the Press interview Sunday — lashing out at Welker and calling NBC "a one-sided crooked network."
‘I’ve Had Enough!’ Trump Storms Out of Meet the Press Interview in Wild Fashion — Explodes On NBC’s Kristen Welker After She Hits Him With Fact Checks
President Donald Trump stormed out of a Meet the Press interview Sunday — after moderator Kristen Welker repeatedly fact-checked his claims on a variety of topics including; Jan. 6, his “anti-weaponization” fund, and election fraud.
The heated six-minute final block of the interview began with Welker pressing Trump about the $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund he continues to promote — despite his administration officially abandoning its efforts to launch the fund. Welker pressed — attempting to confirm that Trump is indeed throwing in the towel.
“Just to be very clear, are you backing off the fund completely as your acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has said, or are you looking for another avenue to revive the fund?” Welker asked.
Don’t quote me on this because I need to fact check and review myself but the Fort Pitt is for the Revolution War. The war for review, American fighting for their freedom from Great Britain
.... I hope I wrote that correctly in my story. I think I did?
I did spend way too long looking up museum passes.
But plant-based meals still need added nutrients, says academic, and BVA warns over dietary deficiency
I have seen this doing the rounds on Facebook but I just want to give a small warning on it. I was excited to read this study because I’ve been waiting for some reliable research on this for a long time, but unfortunately this is not it.
Firstly the study being quoted is unpublished, so we can’t even read it ourselves and it hasn’t been subject to the normal peer review process, though the wider research it forms a part of has undergone review by the looks of it. The study was also funded by ProVeg international, which doesn’t automatically rule it out but is certainly something to consider in terms of biases.
The only study actually cited in this article doesn’t seem to be dealing with safety or long-term pet health at all, it is explicitly talking about the palatability of plant-based pet foods. The findings suggest that cats and dogs find vegan pet food just as enjoyable, but not that it is good for their health. Disappointingly, this seems like a bit of media spin to generate some clicks and debates in the comments sections.
on instagram stories i’ve done a few fact checking posts on instagram for a couple things (such as celery juice and candles being toxic) and i’m kinda thinking of doing it on my main blog as long form research posts.
would anyone be interested in that and if so what kinds of things would you want to see researched? next on my list is the ‘think dirty’ app.
John W. McDaniel of Ohio passed away at the age of 60 in April 2020.
John W. McDaniel, March 13:
“Does Anybody Have The Guts to Say This Covid19 is a Political Plot? Asking for A Friend. Prove Me Wrong.”
John W. McDaniel, March 15:
“If What I’m hearing is true, that [Ohio Governor Mike] DeWine has ordered all bars and restaurants to be closed, I Say Bullshit! He doesn’t have that authority. If you are paranoid about getting sick just don’t go out. It shouldn’t keep those of us from Living our Lives. The Madness has to stop.”
John W. McDaniel, March 19:
“BREAKING:
“A peer-reviewed study shows that 100% of patients, after 6 days of taking a Malaria drug were ‘virologically’ cured
“This is, reportedly, the 2nd 100% cure to a virus that has ever existed
“RT If President @realDonaldTrump should immediately move to make this available.”
Lisa McDaniel Hoppe, John’s sister, March 30:
“May God wrap his arms around all persons suffering from this awful virus, specially my brother! STAY HOME!”
John W. McDaniel, April 15:
“John W. McDaniel, age 60, of Marion, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Riverside Methodist Hospital with his loving family by his side from complications from Covid-19.”
Lisa McDaniel, John’s wife, April 22:
“Similar to thousands of people, we are suffering from an unexpected and untimely loss due to the effects of COVID-19, the likes of which we never could have imagined. During this time of mourning, John’s story, along with early assumptions that he stated on Twitter and Facebook have turned into national news. ... We have all learned that the early actions taken by our National and State government were indeed the right action to take. Quarantine and social distancing have been effective in flattening the curve. John, President of O&M, ordered the company to work from home on March 16. In addition, it is important to note that John immediately self-isolated as soon as he learned he had been in contact with someone who had tested positive. Many, like John, made statements early on not fully aware of the severity of COVID-19; many have retracted their statements knowing now the effects of this pandemic. We know if John was still here with us he would acknowledge the national crisis we’re are in, abide by the stay-at-home order, and encourage family and friends to do the same.”
Snopes, April 22:
“While some may cast aspersions on McDaniel for not treating COVID-19 with the seriousness it deserved in March 2020, it should be noted that misinformation has been rampant during this pandemic. We’ve debunked scores of rumors over several months that have touted bad medical advice and promoted conspiracy theories. U.S. President Donald Trump, too, has been criticized for downplaying the seriousness of COVID-19 and has repeatedly called the news outlets outlets covering this pandemic ‘fake news.’ On Feb. 28, just two weeks before McDaniel posted on social media that COVID-19 was a ‘political ploy,’ Trump said during a rally that ‘Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus’ as their ‘new hoax.’”
