op turned off reblogs but
faisy never cries & definitely never in front of other people. i think maybe VERY RARELY she might cry when she’s alone but she’s mostly trained herself out of it. bc she’s very much a manipulative person (survival tactic turned stay-in-power tactic) but she never uses like tears or vulnerability to manipulate people… i think bc shes so vigilant… she can allow herself to appear powerless only for the bit, never anything with truth in it.. overall she has a rlly weird relationship with vulnerability in general bc she can show affection & things to her friends.. be vulnerable that way… but she absolutely cannot show what she considers “weakness” to them… silly
Haii from the oc asks thing break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? With Faisy ok thanku
break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?
sau. so. faisy is not a character who Breaks Down a lot. she's intensely pragmatic about most things, and also a ton of terrible stuff doesn't really happen to her. i'm thinkin...
in the beginning, her factions/homes were destroyed quite a bit... and even though she was attached to those she turned to like... rebuilding and revenge quite quickly. like i said. pragmatic about it.
oh i know.

BETRAYAL + FUTURE !!! feel free to pick for Whomever - kai
betrayal: Has your OC ever been betrayed by someone they thought they could trust? Has your OC ever betrayed someone who trusted them?
for phi :) i love this part of the story especially because it's relatively new! phi has been betrayed by someone she trusted but hasn't really betrayed someone else's trust.
when phi is about 13, this person called "the alchemist" (he has a name I just like his title) moves into the area. the alchemist's whole deal is potions - he makes 'em, he knows 'em, he invents 'em (ooh!). the alchemist starts a little alchemy lab, where he does a variety of experiments. unfortunately, those experiments start draining the world of its "ambient" magic. double unfortunately, this ambient magic is what's keeping daisy's curse at bay - this is what starts daisy's downward descent!
a few years later phi (who is about 15/16) stumbles onto this little lab and the alchemist immediately recruits her! because even more than the alchemist is All About Potions, he is All About Communism Equality! It Isn't Fair That Only Some People (cough. mostly daisy and null) Have Magic! Everyone Should Have Magic! this is not a terrible philosophy. phi is VERY ON BOARD with this philosophy (normal girl in a world full of magical girls... she really wants to be special). so they start doing alchemy together :)
daisy has found out about the experiments in the two years between them starting and phi becoming part of them and is incredibly opposed to them (on internal grounds of "it's literally killing me" and on external grounds of "it's destabilizing and unnatural"), and thus starts the alchemy war: the alchemist and phi (and a few others) vs daisy and null (and a few others). because it's a war, they have to do more and more morally questionable things. the alchemist is fine with this! he has his justifications. phi is... less fine with this, especially because the opposing side is her (however estranged) family. but the alchemist convinces phi that everything they do is moral and just, because their CAUSE is moral and just, etc etc. and she really does want to be special. she justifies a lot of stuff in her own head at the beginning because of that. but as the war goes on the things the alchemist asks phi to do get more and more dubious, and she starts breaking down because she can't really deal with questioning everything she's done to get to this point.
then the whole fiasco with the finale happens (context in this ask) and phi goes against the alchemist for real. and her mom freaking dies. and in the wake of that, the alchemist, in a fit of rage and despair, admits to phi that she hadn't found the lab herself. he had lured her to it. he had built her up on a shared philosophy, playing on her fears, telling her she was special, to use her against her parents. everything, all of it, every lie phi had told, every time she spied on her family, every experiment that made her feel sick inside, all of it was for nothing. he had lied to her. she wasn't worth anything at all.
future: What's the worst possible future for your OC? Are they taking steps to avoid that outcome? Are they even aware it's a possibility?
and for faisy :) she's in a very good place right now! she's got a loving husband, a solid factional alliance, a lot of money, and a secure position as one of the more powerful people on the server. so the worst possible future for her would be losing all of that, and i do think she's aware that it's a possiblity, at least in the back of her mind. as for what she does to avoid that outcome... gaslights people, mostly. people who she doesn't consider allies. extorts those same people and also her allies (more money = power). she also does her best to keep herself in good standing with the more powerful people of her alliance. like she does genuinely like them - they are all friends - and most of her interactions with them are being a nuisance, but in the back of her mind she's very careful not to do anything they would see as a genuine threat. her husband and cherry, she's not worried about losing at all. those are two connections that she's completely secure in.
