He peers over the lip of the stairwell as it descends downwards into a shadowy, crumbling darkness. “Must we?”

🍺 – She isn’t even trying to divert the rumours about her! (That one about her manner in town isn’t too far off.) But me too.
I bet if we combined all things people have said about us that we almost humoured, we’d form the most atrocious, overpowered villain. That we’d belong, snug, in Varric’s climatic battles.
I’ll brush them off for her. Who has the time to fight the Fade and chittering idiots all day? She can’t even...wouldn’t be possible to complain about what she’s not privy to.
CULLEN WAS never one to rely on m a g i c to heal him ; favoring poultices to the touch of the fade. even during his time in kinloch hold, when his heart was softer, he abstained. but the headaches are getting worse, the dreams more livid, the tremor in his hand more noticeable.
" VALORA MIRADITHAS, yes? i've been.. ( forced ) urged to speak with you. the inquisitor speaks very highly of your talents. "

@fadedreamed liked for a cullen starter!
they all dealt with their grief from haven in different ways. cullen poured himself into work, taking full stock of their new home and figuring out all its weaknesses, what needed to be defended the most. he drew up battle plans for every possible scenario he could imagine happening, and a few that seemed so incredibly far-fetched he hoped they never would. but none of them had expected what had happened to haven - and he wasn’t going to be the reason the same happened to skyhold. because it wouldn’t. he would not allow it to.
walking the battlements, cullen wasn’t surprised to see their inquisitor down by cassandra’s usual haunt. a weapon like hers, she would need to stay in shape. what did surprise him was that she had been there when he’d passed two hours prior - and the stacks of splintered wood and frayed cloth that laid scattered around led him to believe she hadn’t exactly moved from that spot since she’d arrived.
cullen overworked his mind to keep his guilt and grief at bay. rosalind trevelyan, it seemed, worked her body instead. frowning, cullen turned from his route, descending down the stairs towards her instead.
❛ your dedication towards destroying our training dummies is admirable, ❜ he commented, unhooking the waterskin from his waist and holding it out towards her. ❛ although i’m not exactly sure what they’ve done to earn your ire. ❜
@fadedreamed liked for a KREM starter
almost-- almost-- toes on the edge of the chair, krem strains to see over the obstructing staircase, wishing, not for the first time, that he had the courage to sit somewhere a little closer. he wobbles, reaches out to catch his balance. he can ALMOST--
movement to his side startles him and he goes down hard, toppling from the chair with a crash. ❛ SHIT. FUCK. ❜ pain explodes from his shoulder, radiates down his side, and he curls around himself slightly. eyes squeeze shut for a moment before opening just enough to squint up at the intruder.
❛ you startled me, ❜ he manages to grit out.
@fadedreamed (for Valora)
“Shit.” For some, that one little word probably isn’t enough to express the discomfort of finding an arrow head burrowed in your shoulder, but this isn’t the first time Hawke’s had this kind of experience. Maker, it’s not even the third. Granted the placing is a little different every time, but the principal is the same. She’s going to look like a damn pin cushion by the time she’s 30, if she makes it that long. This time it’s a present from the Carta, one she’d missed in the initial adrenaline rush following the fight. The problem isn’t the arrowhead, so much as the fact that Anders is away from his clinic at the moment. He’s somewhere on Sundermount with Merrill collecting herbs. For all her skills, Hawke isn’t a healer, thus she problem: how the fuck does she get the arrow head out? The obvious solution is to find another healer, of course, but money is tight and she doesn’t even know what the growing rate is these days. Clearly she has to do something soon though, because her shoulder is starting to feel a little damn. “S’cuse me,” she shoots the words towards the first person her way-an elf-and tries to look as non threatening as possible. Something which isn’t actually that hard, given the blood loss. “Don’t suppose you know where I could find a cheap healer do you? Got a bit of a situation going on here.”
‘i’ve collected almost three barrels worth of deep MUSHROOMS and i’ve yet to discover if they’re poisonous or even better, HALLUCINOGENIC.’ it was a bit of a disappointment, really. she could certainly use a break.
