alright, it’s been three hours, and i would say i’ve calmed down except i haven’t. i’m still trans, zevran is still trans, and i’m still angry about it. i don’t do drama. not on this blog. i keep my shit to myself, which is something i had to learn after the disaster that is the m. arvel rpc. i’m not going to shut up, but i’m going to stop posting about it.

i will delete the anon, but i want it known that if you think taking “cis characters” -- ie characters whose gender has not been stated because being cis is the norm and is assumed -- and “making” them trans is bad, then block me. i don’t want you anywhere near me. if you think taking “straight characters” -- ie characters whose sexuality has not been stated because being straight is the norm and is assumed -- and “making” them gay / a lesbian / bi / pan / ace / etc is bad, then block me. i don’t want you anywhere near me.

if you think taking canonically gay characters and changing their sexuality in any way is the same thing as taking “straight characters” (see above) and “making” them gay, block me.

if you think taking canonically trans characters and changing their gender in any way is the same thing as taking “cis characters” (see above) and “making” them trans, block me.

i’m tired. i’m trans and queer and tired. we don’t get representation so we have to make it ourselves and i’m tired of cisgender straight people telling me it’s bad to see myself in fictional characters. i’m tired of being told it’s “bad” for me to “take away” cisgender heterosexual representation. it’s not bad. go outside: the world is designed for you.

i’m not going to post about this anymore. anons who try to argue will be blocked. dm me if you’d like to discuss things, because despite the tone of this post, i’m actually very open to discussion, and i love to talk about gender and sexuality and the intersections of all of it.

“That is a good rule for anybody, not only for those of royal blood,” Zevran tilts his head, a thin smile spreading his lips. “Anybody can claim to be royal in Antiva; only those who can survive the assassination attempts afterwards are strong enough to sit on the throne without losing their head -- or worse.”

A terribly taxing job, Zevran was sure, having participated in more than a few preemptive strikes. The best royals were the ones who owned a Crow House of their own and used them to strike rivals before they themselves could be struck. It was an elaborate Game, similar to the one in Orlais, if more blatant about its bloodthirstiness.
