Padomay: Mephala/Nocturnal/Namira
So, the YouTube algorithm just recommended FudgeMuppet’s video about Namira and Sithis, and it reminded me about the half-baked theory that I have that not just Namira (Ur-dra, the Void, Lady of Decay, Goddess of the Dark, etc) and Sithis (the Void) are the same, but in my theory, not only Namira and Padomay/Sithis are the same, but also that Nocturnal (Ur-dra, Mother of Shadows, Mistress of Mystery, Empress of Murk, Saint of Suspicion etc) and Mephala (Queen of the Eight Shadows of Murder, Dark One, Lady of Whispers, Queen of Oblivion, Plot-Weaver etc) are all possibly aspects of the same deity (Padomay) or possible a Triple Goddess group (like Meridia, Azura and Nocturnal for the day/night cycle, or Kyne, Dibella and Mara as the wives of the Nordic Shor, and so on).
There can only be one Ur-dra (eldest daedra), but both Namira and Nocturnal are given this moniker, which implies that they have seniority/power over the rest of the daedra.
Yet it is Mephala who is titled Queen of Oblivion and strongest of the recognizable spirits!
Just like how Namira is the Goddess of the Dark but Mephala is the Dark One.
And if Namira is Sithis then the Night Mother (Nocturnal?) is speaking by her decree to the Listener, and yet the most popular theory about the true identity of the Night Mother in fandom is that she is Mephala with her murderous plots (like with the Morag Tong).
Mephala and Namira are also both symbolized by spiders.
It would be in character for a deity of plots and deception to have more than one identity, and it would be within a murderous deity’s purview to devour like the Void, and the Night is but a Shadow cast by the light of Magnus and so on.
(And while absence of proof proves nothing, it should be noted that none of Mephala, Nocturnal nor Namira counts each other as enemies, whereas there are plenty in inter-daedric/aedric rivalry and enmity to go around between the princes and divines.)
Anyway, it would be interesting if there is something there. Especially as Padomay/Fadomai (Sithis/Darkness/Void/Source of Daedric blood and Lorkhan) is considered female in certain myths and could be the actual deity in question obfuscating her real identity behind three others (or perhaps they are her most loyal and beloved daughters? Like I said, this theory is still half-baked).
