Yeah, because they've atrophied, he cant groom them. They're practically pinned to his back by clothes or trailing wherever. He finds it difficult to move them in order to groom them.

This is my first time writing a winged character for the most part? So I'm having fun with it! His wings are real important, but I dont think you've asked anything spoilery (and if you did, I'd recommend a DM ;P)

Running it down gently (with the right intentions) is a gentle sort of pet, grooming almost. Running it up would cause Remy to get agitated and pull away (its not painful? It just feels wrong.) Doing so for grooming or injury treatment is a different matter, but for general purposes it gives him bad vibes

Ok got it! Ahh, it's almost finished! It's also almost midnight lol. Final question, just cause. Not to be nsfw on main, (lol who am I kidding) but how 'sensitive' are Remy's wings? Ps. It's a very sfw ficlet, even though it may not look like it first glance XD Just wanted to ask because angst, (how much would that brand have hurt if it were on the underside of his wing?) And cause I'm curious

His wings are very sensitive (part of the reason fae tend to keep them hidden) but it depends on the intent of the touch, as to whether it'll hurt or 'feel good' (nsfw allowed here friendo, thats why theres a dedicated tag ;P although...I should change it from 'nsfw').

It's not so much the how but the why its grabbed. So someone they trust grabbing them with bad intentions will hurt, no matter what.

And if it were on the underside it would hurt immensely, but they were looking for visibility when it comes to brands. Too easy to hide on the underside ;P

I'd say probably his right side. He tends to get shoved into walls and stuff a lot, and its his dominant side so he tries to brace with his right shoulder.

I'm not planning to introduce any new characters, it's just smol, cute interaction btwn Remy and Lo, but if Emile was a healer/Mage it would be lit af tho. Which one of Remy's wings has the brand? You said three pairs, so we got top, middle and bottom, is it on the right or left? Which side is the most damaged? And, I realize that this is alot of questions,,, oops! 😅

I wasnt huge into Emile as a character til recently so I'll have to make plans for him 😂

And the brand is on the centre wing on the left side, close to the joint (to his back)

As too which side is most damaged, can I ask what you mean? Just in general damage?

Ok so I'm almost finished!! Should he done by tomorrow morning! Also one more question lol. Can the brands be removed? Especially the one on Remy's wings? Is that a possibility?

I think that would take someone well-versed in healing magics, and none of our main boys have that ability (but feel free to make a character or use someone such as Picani! I havent given him a role or done any planning for him) OR just someone with strong magic.
