Fae Types explained
So this is a super long post so if you aren’t interested I would advise scrolling past haha if you have questions please ask me!!
So I have worked extensively with Fae for the majority of my life and having the True Sight I have been around them since as long as I can remember and before that based on the stories my family tells.
1. Fae are nature spirit entities
2. All Fae have the ability to Shapeshift, though how good they are at it depends on their race and ranking in the Fae hierarchy, although only the best shapeshifters can hide the natural extra knuckle that all of the Fae I’ve met or talked to have.
3. Fae allocate themselves into classes based on power, wealth and heritage (they actually influenced humans a lot in this sense as Faehave been like this and around MUCH longer than humans)
4. Fae do have a verbal Language/Speech but it is also a healthy mix of telepathic conversing too. All Fae can speak telepathically but if you get a Fae going you may notice the sounds they make coupled with a bombardment of feelings, images, and energy that you instantly recognize as not of your own.
So the most common sort of Fae is what I call a Wildling. This is your basic fairy, they usually are smaller in size and stature, have basic nature magics, are mixed with some kind of animal (like a small child with fox eyes and a fox tail, or a mix between a lemur and a opossum and an insect). These Fae range from solitary to living in large groups (most commonly based on what aspects of nature they embody)
There is a group of small mole wildlings (currently populated somewhere between 50-60) and they look like moles that can walk bipedally and their tail has a venomous spike in the tip). They are super friendly, albeit reclusive and skittish, they love jelly and honey and peppermints, and are GREAT at irrigating my gardens so that the plants that grow above their dens don’t drown and die. They can shape shift to look like snakes, moles, and scorpions, as well as small furry people with long sharp fingers and nails)
There are hundreds of kinds of Fae. Plant type Fae that are relatively small and weak, vampiric Fae (mainly in the sense that they feed off of the energy or life forces of other beings), sylphs, every aspect of nature as a spiritual entity pretty much and send most of them can shapeshift it is very common for them to change shape to beat appeal to whoever is viewing them. Only through Sight can you see them and the ones gifted with True Sight who can see through their glamours.
Fae can procreate with each other and many Fae species mate for life. But marriage the way we see it doesn’t exist for them. It is very common for Fae to find their life mate and be with that Fae and yet both will still excercise pleasurable activities with other entities(sometimes even humans). This is because Fae tend to see pleasure as a basic need such as hunger and thirst and therefore it is natural to sate it. The difference in a Fae mating is that their energies will intertwine and mix, creating a bond that allows them to strengthen and support each other as well as share feelings and thoughts.
There is also a rare breed of Fae, and I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting one in my lifetime, that have no mate and can breed by themselves. I call them Birthing Fae or Fae mothers. Basically they absorb energies from outside them (whether it’s nature itself or the energies of a dying Fae or even energies from the other realms) and they build upon it to create a first generation Fae. These Birthing Fae don’t have a lot of magic outside of this ability but they do have they ability to control all or any first generation Fae they have birthed and can influence other generational Fae from their lines (though it gets weaker as the generations progress away from the first)
There are many Fae cities and hubs and each area has a ruling Fae clan or family. And above those are much more powerful High Fae who rule vast amounts of Fae based on a pledge of servitude. In exchange these Fae offer protection, power, access, wealth, and survival (this is where the human concept of faerie courts came from even though it’s a little different)
And above the High Fae is the Archons. These are Fae that govern the laws of The Grove and The Wyld and all of the Wyld Lands. These Archons often sleep away centuries as they have lived so long time is irrelevant. The Archons cannot die at all and simply exist to be the pure embodiment of each Fae aspect. (Last time I talked to a Fae who still knew about the Archons and believed in them and held fast to Old Faiths, I managed to learn about 13 of them)
Thats all for now but I have so much to share so any questions that I could turn into posts would be more than welcome
