Is there gonna be another flashback? How soon are we gonna start the main story of dealing with Daniel?
There are several flashbacks in book one, none in book two.Total there are five flashbacks, listed in the order we see them, not the linear time order:
1. I count the fae flashback as one, though it has two parts to it.
2. The flashback with a different pantheon of deities. Current plans are to be one of four, though when we get to it this may be cut down. Plans include Greek, Roman, Norse, or Egyptian gods.
3. The flashback where you and Israfel have an assignment in Rome.
4. There is a flashback where you work as a muse for Leonardo da Vinci and encounter the real Lisa behind the Mona Lisa, spanning primarily two years of da Vinci’s life.
5. The flashback where you receive your title, Wrath of God.
The ‘main’ story is about Gabriel. Present time it’s about raising Daniel, but we need to understand some of how Gabriel came to be where they are today. The next official update (not including patches/revisions) will explain more on the fact that angels don’t experience time in the same linear fashion we are accustomed to.
These flashbacks help shape who you are by letting you define who you were. And in some cases, the decisions are going to have ramifications in book 2. They may help you, they may hinder you.
Part one of the fae flashback is almost complete. There is a scene in the cells, and then the flashback ends (part one). Then we have some time in the present–first night in the shell, being introduced to the precinct, Sabriel showing you the ropes–and before your first official day of work we have the second part of the fae flashback.
How soon is relative. It’s all part of the tale. I’m sorry if you aren’t enjoying the flashback or think it detracts from the ‘main’ story, but until the first draft is done I have no intentions of altering the flow of the story. After the first draft is done there will be changes that have to be made, and I will make them at that time.
I've been rereading Lyana introduction scene, and - is it just me, or is she even more annoyed with Ramiel's attitude if MC has trouble sorting their own feelings? If yes, why? (Given the trouble we get into I should really be angrier, but I mostly just feel sad over her impending death and what might happen to the little ones even if they are sane).
It’s not just you (I’m assuming you’re talking about the #Wait for him to explain option). Lyana is more upset if you are uncertain of your feelings for him.
Lyana isn’t a full-blown empath like Leochlan, but she picks up on certain emotions and feelings at times (it’s been easier for her since she got pregnant). She can sense your confusion, and it irritates her. You’re struggling enough with your feeling for Ramiel, and then he adds this to the confusion, which can’t be making things any easier for you. On top of that, she can’t try to affirm your feelings because you aren’t certain of them, and so she smacks Ramiel for being an idiot.
When you’re certain you’re interested in him, she’s still annoyed at Ramiel’s carelessness and obliviousness, but she’s less upset because she can focus on trying to reassure you that your feelings shouldn’t be in jeopardy just because she’s pregnant.
What are niblings? If that's a mix of nephilim and siblings aren't the kids actually our niece/nephew since they're Ramiels kids, even though we're not related to Ramiel?
Nibling is the gender neutral term for a child of your sibling (i.e. niece/nephew). It’s not a combination of nephilim and sibling; Lyana talks to you about being an aunt/uncle/untie (or an additional mother/father/parent if you’re romantically interested in Ramiel), so they are generally viewed as your niblings, even though you aren’t related to Ramiel.
I played the update this morning and I absolutely loved it! I can't wait to see how the rest of the flashback with Ramiel goes! Btw I adore Ramiel so far!
Pretty sure this is another ask from the last update >.> (I’m sorry, I’m trying to get through the endless mountain of asks!)
I’m glad you loved it. We’ve now seen a little bit more of the flashback with Ramiel, and we’ll have one more section with him before the flashback finishes without him.
So when dealing with Ramiels kids how involved are we gonna be? Will be able to not care and maybe even hate them? Just make sure they're not causing trouble and leave.
You’re just going to have to wait and see for most of it, but no, you don’t just get to leave. That would be defying orders, as within the range of the flashback up until the end you haven’t accrued enough information nor spent enough time to even lie about making an informed decision. I love all you fans, but please, just wait. I’m not going to ruin the suspense of what happens. (If there is much suspense to begin with >.>)And if you, the player, are tired of being stuck taking care of kids, this may not be the game for you. No, your character doesn’t have to like it, but it’s part of the plot. Characters can be annoyed, reluctant, apathetic, eager… but they still have to go through it.
Wait so if we're going to Fae village to watch Ramiel's kids does that mean we'll get to, uh, spend more time with Leochlan too?? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) BECAUSE I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO DO SO
Well, Leochlan lives there, so one might assume so…
Not saying what that ‘time’ entails though ;PYou’ll just have to wait and see.
