Much, much drama. Of course, if you spent the night at the fae village, there’s a whole ‘nother issue to deal with first.

As for why the fae aren’t available as any sort of official ro, you’ll just have to see (apart from the whole ‘fae don’t do love’ bit).  But for starters, it would be a very different story if they were.

so i get that the fae dont feel love and thats why they're not romance options, but what if we played gabriel as aromantic? would that change anything about their relationships with leochlan or laniwynn??

It will flavor the second part of the flashback, but there’s a few reasons that it won’t change much.

1. Gabriel might be aromantic, but the society they come from (Heaven) favors love and kindness and a bunch of squishy feelings the fae aren’t very fond of, so they hold some stigma against them. They’d be more willing to fool around with Gabriel, but for the fae, their definitions and functionality of a relationship doesn’t mesh well with what they believe angels expect from a relationship.

2. This is a spoiler, but I will say that this is straight-up the main reason they aren’t romance options to begin with, and it won’t change with an aromantic Gabriel. Not going to say what it is though.

3. Gabriel is an outsider. Fun to sleep with, but not a suitable long-term relationship. Marriages in fae culture are made to be power matches and strengthen alliances. Gabriel might be a powerful individual, but they do not have the authority to pledge others to the fae’s cause. Therefore, Laniwynn and Leochlan don’t see any future in a relationship with Gabriel. It’s simply not advantageous enough to them.

I'm honestly so hurt right now because the update and story are so amazing and then we finally get a taste of Romeil and I fall in love but then you throw a whole baby momma in the picture so of course I'm ready to fight but wait there's more Lochlean is my whole type and I can't even romance him bc he isn't capable of love sigh's in 40 different languages, pleasr let there be a hidden plot twist of some kimd and Lochlean can love just a teensy but lol but anyway your doing amazeballs hun😭💜
