Hi everyone! I'm faerielywitchy aka. Shannon. I'm here to talk to you about Fae today.
To start, I'd like to say that "Fae" or "Faeries" is the spelling that I use for those terms, but other ways of spelling aren't incorrect.
Ex.: Fey, Fairy, Feries, Fairies.
Fae are very tricky creatures. Much like humans, they are not all good or all bad. There are so many different types of Fae that generalizing them into one little category is highly unwise. Before you start with communication, you must realize and accept this.
I'll start off with your Fae interaction basics today.
Different Ways To Prepare Yourself For Fae Interaction:
Know how to protect yourself in case of a bad encounter. You can do so with forms of magical wards or setting up things Fae don't typically like.
Research different types of Fae and Fae behavior on research sites and/or blogs geared toward Fae.
Know which means of communication suits you best.
Don't trust everything they say, because Fae can lie. In my experience most make it more fun for themselves by twisting phrases so that technically they aren't lying or they lead you to believe one thing instead of another, however, Fae are very capable of outright lying.
Don't give them your primary name, give them a nickname, have them nickname you, or don't give them a name at all.
Don't accept any gifts or favors if you haven't done or given them anything. You don't want that hanging over your head.
Fae can glamour, aka. they can change their appearance with magic to look however they like.
Don't eat the food or drink any liquids.
Different Methods Of Communication:
A pendulum, with our without a spirit board.
"A pendulum is a weight suspended from a pivot so that it can swing freely." - Wikipedia
Typically when using a pendulum alone, you could set responses depending on the direction the pendulum swings in.
"The Ouija board, also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0–9, the words "yes", "no", "hello" (occasionally), and "goodbye", along with various symbols and graphics." - Wikipedia
Using a spirit board is more helpful when needing to ask questions that aren't "yes", "no", or "maybe" questions.
Using something typically translucent (ex.: bowl of water, crystal ball, blackened mirror, fire) to divine or to assist in astrally projecting.
Projecting your soul to other realms through various methods.
Ex.: Sleep, meditation then projecting, etc.
Psychically tuning into them and hearing or seeing them.
Singing or music in general.
