Faerground Accidents - Gaslighter (Single & Music Video)

Sheffield's thrash glamster's Faerground Accidents hit back hard with a new music video to go with their latest single, the exhilarating 'Gaslighter', a song that would've been hugely popular during the mid nineties britpop explosion, I'd put money on it. It's like they came along in the wrong decade, though I'm still extremely glad that they're here! Not only that, their debut album 'Co-Morbid' (out on John Robb's Louder Than War Records) has just recently landed, but you'll hear more about that soon. The one thing that has grabbed me most about this mind blowing slice of cut sharp immensely produced glam punk, is the Cabbage influence in the middle eight. The music video is fucking astounding to boot. Bomar Faery's vocal is very much reminiscent of Brian Molko of Placebo fame, which probably gives them their 90's edge. There's definitely a massive Japan influence as well this time around, and why not? for David Sylvian's gang of new romantic's were one of the greatest forces throughout the late 70's/early 80's, so if you are massively into them, than Faerground Accidents are the band for you.
